   Really helpful staff, HUGE portions and very good food (although the creamed spinach was actually more cream than spinach, which didn't go with what I ordered, but never mind!) The decor is smart but not that exciting so not really suitable for a special occasion, but very good for most other things! Would definitely recommend!

   Service here was second to none. Food was pretty good (I am a big foodie so set a high standard) although not perfect. The old ladies having tea and cakes looked like they were having a birthday treat. We were on business for a long lunch, and this met our needs completely. We all walked away very content, and having been left alone, yet attended to just enough and at the right time. I will come again.

   The experience, which otherwise may have been a good one, (food, drinks, waiters were great) was ruined by a very unsophisticated restaurant manager. She lacked finesse and was rather abrasive in telling us that we did in fact not get the 50% offered on Toptable. She also came over several times to interrupt and was not amicable to say the least. She also proceeded to charge us for several things not consumed. Please do yourself a favour and fire this lady, she is ruining the chances for this otherwise good place.

   Food was 'ok' - my fish was overcooked and the rest was average to say the least. Nice if not overpriced wine, but to be expected. The saving grace were the smiling staff who were good.

   empty restaurant but still chaotic service with 3 staff clearing one table and no offer of a drink. complaints resulted in service with attitude and then asking every 5 minutes if everything was ok. too much like a cafe but charging 5 star prices. food was ok but way too salty. cod in ham simply didn't work at the ham was like leather and the cod had to be destroyed to remove it. also something strange and sour on the plate. go elsewhere.

   The portion sizes were generous and food was good. Unfortunately the restaurant lacked atmosphere, it was almost empty and felt very corporate.. The cocktails were surprisingly good and service from Gemma and Daniela was excellent. Very good value with the T.T. deal would not be happy paying full price though.

   I'll keep it short: Avoid this restaurant. All the food we ordered, with the exception of the oysters, was absolutely terrible. I shall not be returning evening if the food was free.

   I went there with the 50% off... the service was quite simply excellent, very friendly without being intrusive. The starter & mains were delicious, I had the blue cheese salad (they gave me the version without crab, while I ordered WITH crab but it was beautiful nonetheless) my friend went for the oysters. We ordered the half lobster for main (£8 extra) and it was really good... The only downside (a bit one according to me...) was the desserts which were, and I'm being nice, POOR. I had a "trifle" which was basically a jelly (not a good one) topped with some runny mousse... it definitely wasn't a trifle. My friend has the Oreo cheesecake which was just passable - both desserts had a poor presentation... really didn't end the meal on a high

   Once again we had the most enjoyable meal at 140 Park Lane. Coincidentally all five in our party chose a fish dish - each was perfect! Will certainly go there again!

    I have dined at 140 Park Lane a few times over the years, and whilst the prices are about twice what you might expect, the "50% off" offer makes them reasonable again, and the food itself has always been v good. The restaurant is in a great location, and I was looking forward to dinner. However, our waitress managed to pour an entire (large) glass of wine down my date's dress, and other than a brief "oops, sorry", there was no proper apology, and no mention of the incident from the Maitre D'. I expected money off the bill to cover the dry-cleaning costs, but there was no discount when the bill arrived. When I complained to the Maitre D' she reduced the bill by the cost of just one glass of wine, whereas I had expected more. Disappointing.
