1808 American Bistro serves classic American fare with the occasional Southern, Cajun, and international twists. Steaks grilled to order. Shrimp and Grits with a bit of a bite. A delectable array of house made sauces, vinaigrettes, remoulades, tapenades, aioli, and demi-glaces. Not to mention the pastas, burgers, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, entrees and desserts, all of the mouthwatering variety.

Our full bar offers 24 cold craft beers on draft, and a delightfully tippling assortment of wines and spirits. Stop by for dinner for a beer, or any combination thereof that tickles your fancy.

Reservations recommended for the Dining Room. However, we cannot accommodate reservations for the Patio and Bar.

My daughter, daughter-in-law and I had our annual Christmas brunch and 1808 is our favorite spot before an afternoon of shopping! Our server, Katie, was outstanding. She is both personable and attentive. Thank you. We’ll see you next Christmas.

This was our first time at 1808 and we are looking forward to going back. We were welcomed by the hostess and our server and promptly seated. We tried one of the seasonal pomegranate cocktails and brown sugar old-fashioneds to start. Both were delicious. Our party had the 1808 salad, the mushroom pasta dish and the twin medallions and a bottle of the Sokol Blosser. Everyone was extremely pleased. Our server was outstanding.

Our food was delicious. We had a wonderful waiter. Noah was attentive and friendly. We had a special anniversary celebration!

1808 has a nice atmosphere and the service was great. My food (eggs benedict) was good, as was the hamburger. However, my dad did not care for this lunch. Overall, a very nice experience. My main recommendation would be to offer gluten free bread and dessert options.

Each one of us had ordered something different and all meals were super delicious!!! This restaurant is THE best!!!

The food was very good. Our service was good except for one thing and I’m not sure how this can be handled. When we placed our orders, we had an appetizer course and the next course some had ordered soup some had ordered salad. I had barely finished a half a cup of soup before the entrée was served. Then when we finished our entire meal, it was exactly 1 hour from the time we sat down. I would have preferred that the entrée not be served until we had some time to enjoy the second course. That said, I think if we come again, which we probably will, we won’t put in the order for our Andre until after we’re finished with the other courses.

Our brunch reservation was for 1:30. We were 20 minutes late and although the kitchen was supposed to close at 2:00, we were able to take our time in ordering, our server, Maddie, was very patient and polite, and the food was delicious.
