                                                                                                  My family went there for my birthday, it’s my favorite. After being sat Scott took our drink order and delivered drinks and he did not interact with us again until 40 minutes later one of my sons had to make him stop to take our order. He did not suggest appetizers nor tell us the specials he abruptly just stared at us with his pen and paper out. When he got to me I asked about specials to which he ran through. After receiving our food another 30 minutes later another son spoke with him privately about a dessert option for me, that never came to the table. Scott, the server, after deliver our food did not stop by our table again until someone had to ask him for the checks. I absolutely love 2 John’s but this was the worst service and experience I’ve ever had. Of course he added a gratuity to our $800 check which would have been perfectly fine had he earned it.

                                                                                                  I made reservations for three. When we got there, we went to the bar. Everything was so cozy, then the light show began. It was like eating in a cafeteria. Please make it cozier. The entire room applauded when they dimmed the lights. It is not just the lights that need improvement; it is the atmosphere in that room. The fried calamari was delicious. The paired steak was over-peppered.

                                                                                                  Don’t look at the stars and think this is bad. Everything was outstanding, only issue was that a request I had put in on this site wasn’t honored. I asked for “Happy Birthday” to be written on my wife’s desert plate. Didn’t happen, but we still had a great time, great food, and a great atmosphere.

                                                                                                  Two many tables were crowded together, and the noise level was miserable. People at other tables close to us were literally SHOUTING across the table to each other. We had difficulty being heard even by the person next to us. My husband & I had eaten at 2 John’s several times before & recommended it to the friends who came with us — 3 other couples — and we were all celebrating our anniversaries. I got the sea bass special, and the shrimp was tough and rubbery. The sea bass was ok, but I couldn’t detect the sauce that was supposed to be on it bc it had all soaked down in the potatoes under it. The wedge salad was good. My husband had the snapper pontchartrain and it was not the exceptional dish expected. Two of our friends got the steak au poivre, and she let me taste it and it was delicious. Others made no comment. We didn’t get dessert because we couldn’t wait to get out of there! It was anything BUT a fine dining experience! The waitstaff were all pleasant and did a good job despite their very difficult working conditions. I greatly regret recommending 2 John’s to our best friends and driving an hour to get there. We won’t be back.

                                                                                                  Had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner. Everyone’s steak was cooked perfectly. Sides were spot on. Drinks were good and service was on point. Glad we finally got to try it while in town.
