My reservation was @9.pm for my birthday dinner we got there at 8.45p.m the receptionist said our table was not ready as yet like in twenty minutes that's fine we got there early And one point everyone who came after was being seated at their table I recall having to ask the front when we are going to be seated and that was like four times it's now 9.25 pm from 8 .45pm and finally we were seated at a table which I think could have been done earlier since I had made reservations like three weeks ago they knew we were coming it was confirmed twentyfour hrs and the day off Zachary our waiter was very nice calm and attentive and gave suggestions on what's best to order on food drinks and wine Despite sitting late at the table we had a grand time and all because of our waiter My seafood linguine was delicious . Would I go again maybe

Dinner was delicious, however the cocktails and wine were slow to arrive at the table. My husband was almost completely finished his meal when his wine arrived. That had nothing to do with the server but the bar, which was very slow at sending out the drinks. Would go back again without hesitation.

I’ve been frequenting 40 West for years and have always appreciated the excellent food and service. However, during lunch today, the noise level was overwhelming. The din was so loud that having a conversation was nearly impossible, and the music blended indistinguishably into the chaos. The restaurant’s hard surfaces and cavernous design amplify the issue. While I love the lively buzz of a busy lunch hour, today’s experience crossed into uncomfortable territory. I hope adjustments can be made to improve the ambiance without losing the vibrant atmosphere.

Spectacular decor. A bit pricey in the evening. Try it at lunch time - quite a reasonable price on the table d'hôte.

The food was excellent but the service by Ariana W. was spectacular. She was so kind, funny and attentive to our needs throughout our dinner. I would definitely go back and want to be seated in her section!

Great ambiance amazing service, and pretty decent food. The grilled octopus as appetizer is to die for, and my wife fillet mignon with brie was amazing. My rib steak was OK. I’ve had better but overall great restaurant amazing service love the jazz band in the bar section.
