Not a lot of taste to the raw scallops or the cod dish. Steak and strawberry dishes very good. Service was great.

We had the pleasure of eating the Valentine’s Day tasting menu at 80 Thoreau last night. Everything was amazing — the drinks, the food, the service, the ambience. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, as we always do. One of our favorite restaurants, hands down.

I have to say the entire experience was lovely. It is much more than I would expect for a suburban fine dining (ish) experience. All the dishes were spot on in delivery, flavour, plating and size. The wine was quite good (the Willamette Gamey) and the decaf at the end was fresh as well. In comparison to the mainstream offerings in the area, you are paying 1.5x the price for 5x the experience.

Bin Ends. Great chance to sample wines that might have been too expensive otherwise. Andrew chose two outstanding reds to accompany our striped bass tartare, duck, crispy potatoes and potato gnocchi w boar/red wine & orange.

Excellent food. Limited menu but everything is 100% top notch, better than many foodie places in Boston and Cambridge.

Loved the food! Good service and nice ambience. Fairly quiet, but this was a weeknight when the place was only partially filled, so could be more boisterous on a weekend.
