   Choose this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. It was excellent food, service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommend.

   our favourites were on the menu. great scampi to begin followed by hake washed down with a nice bottle of cold white wine, Trebbiano

   I took my wife for dinner for her birthday and we had a very lovely evening here. Across three courses all of our food was delicious, from a lean menu of very tempting options. The service was slow, and I think where we were sat made it easy to forget us. There was a long wait to take our order, a long wait between courses, and they forgot to bring our cutlery for our desserts. Having said that, the staff were warm and friendly and it certainly didn't spoil our evening. I'm sure this was a blip in service, and the food and atmosphere is certainly more than enough to convince me to return.

   Good starter (mozarella) - fresh and soft. Excellen tfish (hake), perfectly cooked and seasoned. Good space between tables, brisk, friendly service, not over-familiar,.

   We visit A Cena a few times a year, usually for special occasions. The menu changes, and there is always something new and interesting. It's always delicious!

   although it was very quiet on this Wednesday lunchtime the service was still very good. I have not visited for sometime and although the £10 lunch menu is a good idea it was not for me. Salad starter and a pasta main with tea or coffee. Excellent wine and cocktail list. The tuna steak I ordered was excellent although maybe a little expensive for £18 on its own but they do have many things which are much cheaper on the menu. They do close at 3.30pm so unlike other places in Richmond you cannot while away the afternoon enjoying more drinks. Sadly not much wowed me on the menu that day but overall I would recommend and will visit again.

    If you are lucky enough to live locally - or happy to make a very worthwhile trip - you must got to A Cena! Our visit last week was, without doubt, the first of many.
