Afternoon Tea, a decades-long tradition at The Brown Palace, is set amid the historic grandeur of the Atrium Lobby serenaded by a melodic piano. Guests enjoy a pot of properly brewed English tea accompanied by scones served with Devonshire cream and preserves, savory tea sandwiches, and a delightful array of classic tea pastries.

Palace Bar is open Tuesday through Saturday evenings. Sip on classic cocktails, wine, or a refreshing pint with charcuterie and other inventive dishes. Live music by The John Kite Jazz Quartet will complete an unforgettable and lively experience.

Holiday Tea

$10.00 per person for Vegan and / or Gluten- Free. Parties of five or more, please choose a maximum of three teas. Complimentary second plate of sandwiches included. Twenty percent gratuity will be added for parties of five or more. We will not accept more than three credit cards per party, and the check will be split evenly.

      Not great! Food was awful and service was extremely slow considering it wasn’t even busy.

      This was our 1st experience with Tea at the Brown Palace and it was fantastic. The hostesses, waitress and entire staff provided 5-star service with a smile and seemed to be enjoying their work. The hostess offered several different seating options. I know several reviews have stated poor seating but the staff was accommodating and happy to offer options. It was very busy but we thoroughly enjoyed the tea, snacks and cocktails. We will be back soon. Thank you Brown Palace for an enjoyable and fun holiday experience.

      We always love our tradition of doing tea during the holidays at the Brown Palace. The ambience is stunning, music is a wonderful addition, and food is delightful. This experience though with service, was terrible. Our server hardly visited our table and we had to ask other servers for help when needed. Disappointing when you pay a very high price for the experience.

      Thank you for visiting us Katie, we’re sorry about the confusion! Every guest has pooled service during the holidays. This means you have 2-3 servers at *all* times and not just the initial staff member who greets your table or serves your tea. We are so glad to hear you were assisted by other staff, as is the service structure. Your needs should be met by all who are working that day. Hopefully that clarifies your service a bit further.       Absolutely the worst night having tea ever. I have been going to tea at the brown palace for so many years but this will be the last time. Right in the middle of tea an man who appears to lead the band literally came to my table and began to move it while we were seated having tea and said you don’t mind me moving you over so I can make more room for my friends to sit by the piano. I’m totally appalled they he had the nerve to do this as we were in the middle of tea and he works for the brown palace and thinks this is ok. I’m totally appalled that we literally had to get up in the middle of tea and see our table being moved. I will complain to management. Completely over the top uncalled for.

      Tea at the Brown was a very special family memory, as always. Beautiful, friendly service, in this beautiful, historic hotel that is such a Denver treasure. The longevity of the staff is part of what makes this experience so exceptional. I look forward to seeing the same people time after time, year after year, and they always remember me and my children. There's an institutional memory of history and tradition that only long-term staff can maintain. Thank you to the entire tea-team for many happy family memories!

      The Brown Palace tea was an experience we will never forget. The hotel is gorgeous, especially with the Christmas decorations. Everything was perfect!

      This is a a special treat for my grandaughter every year, she loves getting dressed up and having tea during the holiday season, nd I love giving her an opportunity to do so. The service is always excellent, some of the best. The food is good, we always leave feeling full. That said, sometimes it's the cost that leaves me staggering. It's a beautiful environment, but it's definitely pricey for what you get.

      I’m reconsidering what was an annual event. Service was SLOW and inconsistent, especially considering the pricing.
