Agave Azul is an entertaining, casual outlet combining a unique Tequila experience with world class sushi, ceviches and Asian food in a chic and sophisticated fashion.

Inspired by the longstanding Asian culinary influences found throughout Baja California, Agave Azul restaurant features Chinese and Japanese cooking techniques and flavors alongside the bounty from the waters of the region that boast some of the best seafood in the world.

The menu highlights creative interpretations of classic dishes from Ensenada and Valle de Guadalupe and offers specialty cocktails, beer, and wines including Mexican produced sake.

Agave Azul offers sweeping views of the Mayakoba lagoon and lush scenery, making it a delightful choice for pre-dinner cocktails, appetizers or a full feast as evening arrives.

On Monday's La Plaza at Agave Azul turns into "Sabores de Baja" a celebration of the iconic and unfussy cuisine of the Mexican peninsula and recreates an intimate evening out on the town in Baja.

It’s our 5th time in this restaurant. Quiet night at the resort and I told them it is my wife’s birthday but service was good but nothing extraordinary special. Food quality was great and we still enjoyed this place. Prices went up from last year ago. Sushi choices and ice cream/sherbet plus one cup of red wine will cost you $300 and upwards with tax and tips included.

We definitely didn’t have a bad experience but it was our least recommendable restaurant in the 3 times we’ve been to Mayakoba. The food was good but nothing to specifically make you want to return. Our server was great it just seemed like they may have been a little understaffed. All of the staff looked very busy.

It’s a must try while in Mayakoba make sure to make a reservation as it’s unlikely to get a table in a timely manner without one. Try the macaroons for dessert they are so good

INCREDIBLE!!!!! Gracious hosts & friendly welcome, and the whole meal experience was delightful. Loved the menu lights and our server was patient and helpful and timed the service perfectly. Sat outdoor on the patio over the lagoon and had the most delicious and peaceful dinner experience. MUCHAS GRACIAS!!!

Very expensive for the quality sushi served. Food ok not great. Service average not exceptional. Appetizer good.

Did no meet our expectations in any aspect. We were expecting a modern Japanese restaurant in the standards of a Rosewood hotel and of the nicest restaurants in Miami, where we usually go out for dinner. But the decoration is basic and poor (for the expected standards), very short menu for food and drinks, missing items, hot drinks. The staff was friendly and trying to provide a good service, but we didn’t really like the starters, the drink was not cold enough, so we decided to move to another restaurant at same hotel with great value of food and service.

Service was poor. Our glasses were empty for 10+ minutes before our server came by to offer refills.
