Over the years we've twice been awarded the Open Table Top 100 in the US restaurant designation and in 2018, Southern Living Magazine named us one of the Ten Most Romantic Restaurants in the South. Focusing on superb ingredients; fish, seafood, prime quality Virginia aged meats, and locally sourced organic produce, our cuisine showcases years of collaboration among some of the most talented chefs of our region. Built in the 1880s as Roanoke's first office supply company, our vintage building has been transformed into a retro chic rendition of the classic urban restaurants of our great culinary cities. We have been enjoying this restaurant for many years, typically a couple of times per year. We always greatly enjoy choosing from their menu, they have a few regular menu offerings and always something unique/new as well. The Beef Filet options are always great, their shrimp and seafood is outstanding. A quiet, comfortable place where we can easily converse with one another and their excellent staff. We highly recommend Alexanders and easily give it 5 stars as they have maintained a level of service and quality which is not matched from our point of view.

We four had barbecue shrimp appetizer and grouper for our entree. Excellent service and preparation.

All selections from our party of three were delicious, and the bbq shrimp appetizer was amazing. Service was impeccable!

Lovely restaurant with professional, excellent service and wonderful food. We eat there every time we stop over in Roanoke while driving to and from Atlanta to NYC. If you like perfectly prepared fish, their chef works wonders. We've eaten there five times over the last two years and loved it every visit. If you live there or are just passing through, this is a don't miss stop.
