The Alvarado Street Brewery & Grill, located in historic downtown Monterey, CA., is a brewery and New American restaurant offering locally sourced and thoughtfully created, approachable food and artisan craft beer.

We operate primarily as a walk in business with no private dining space. Our bar & beer garden are communal seating areas available on a first come first served basis. We do offer limited reservations for groups of 5-14 in our main dining room. Please call (831) 655-2337 or email monterey@asb.beer for more information.

Our mission is to provide our guests, both local and visitor alike, a unique yet casual environment. We look forward to seeing you and inviting your family to become a part of ours at the Alvarado Street Brewery & Grill.

                            We went with a large group and the food and beer were great. I am picky and this place delivered. Try the lamb burger!

                            We had a great meal tonight! Steak Frites and Pasta Bolognese were both delicious. Did a flight of beers. The coffee milk stout was exceptional. I was disappointed that it was not available as a growler.

                            I had no idea Alvarado street existed, but I needed a late dinner and it was at the top of the list on OT. What a pleasant surprise! Crowded, fun ambiance, great food. The chicken pot pie was delicious, if a little different than expected. The cocktails outshone the beers on the menu.

                            Very nice, energetic bar/grill with great customer service, great food and good selection of beers. We made rez online and were seated quickly. I'd go back again...

                            Excellent flat breads. I had the bacon and egg flatbread which was outstanding. I enjoyed the beer selection as well. Very noisy. Not recommended for a romantic meal but a great vibe.

                            We saw this as we headed ro the wharf for dinner. Stopped in on our way back. Bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. Sampled several of their beers. The next night we came back and had dinner. Awesome sausage board with pickled veggies! Butternut squash soup had great curry flavor and was topped with pumpkin seeds. Sweet and sour roasted cauliflower was also excellent. Seems to be the "go to" bar in the area.

                            We dined at Alverado Street Brewery prior to attending a concert at Golden State Theatre. The service was wonderful and the menu selection was extensive enough to satisfy most appetites and diets. We highly recommend this restaurant and will return.
