Amuse is a seasonal, farm to table driven restaurant, located on the third floor of the museum. Whether you are dining in our main dining room, full-service bar, or our private dining room, you will be able to take in sweeping views of the Robins Sculpture Garden and the museum’s Cochrane Atrium. Our team works diligently to provide a menu that is directly inspired by the art-filled surroundings, current exhibitions, and seasonality while also carefully selecting only the finest ingredients from local vendors, artisans, and farmers. Just a friendly reminder that the museum does not allow balloons, confetti, glitter, plants potted with soil, and candles with open flames. If a date and time you seek for a reservation appears to be full, please give us a call so we can see what other times might be available.

Food was delicious though I wish the hot peppers didn’t pervade every dish. That said, the oysters and Chocolate dessert were exceptional. Service was perfect—our server was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. And the restaurant itself is beautiful, sophisticated without being cold.

Amuse continues to keep it fresh and innovative. Terrific job with seafood and steak. Friendly waitstaff and just a relaxing atmosphere for dinner with friends and family.

We had not been to Amuse for a while, but we will be back very soon. We enjoyed lunch very much and had a hard time choosing from menu options -- especially after we heard the specials. The only remedy is to come back soon and try more dishes. Service was truly terrific and the variety much appreciated.

Our appetizers (fried oysters; crab cake) were a mixed bag. Oysters were terrific but the crab cake was subpar. The main dishes (duck breast, Wagyu beef, chicken and dumplings) were good. The brocolini side with my Wagyu beef was overly charred. Service was stellar. There was a quite reasonable prix fixe menu but nothing on it piqued anyone's interest and we ordered off the main menu. The two younger members in our party enjoyed the cocktail menu and ordered seconds. Good and extensive wine list. Desserts were excellent.

My first time eating here -- best food I've had on a Richmond visit in years, vegetarian options were delicious. Excellent, warm service! Lovely night out.

Always serving great fresh unique dishes. The dining area is bright and open. The tables are always fully set with lovely dinnerware. The service is well timed and very efficient and couteous. Whether you walk over for a cocktail and small plate on the patio or go for evening out and a four course meal in the dining room, it is always a nice experience.
