Anton and Michel is now open INDOORS and OUTDOORS at the COURT of the FOUNTAINS.
LUNCH: 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM / DINNER: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
Reservations are highly recommended.

Since 1980, Anton and Michel has consistently maintained an award-winning reputation for true excellence in the art of fine dining. A complete interior remodel was recently completed features handset stonework throughout the restaurant. The floor to ceiling windows offer breathtaking views of the Court of the Fountains. Zagat Survey calls it: Carmel’s long-standing paean to graciousness in dining out. Along with updated and contemporary changes to the menus, ultimate table side service flambé desserts remain. As quoted in the Wine Spectator, Anton and Michel is “probably the best dining experience in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea”.

                                                        Very nice overall experience. Went there for my wife’s birthday. They noted it and were very nice about mentioning it. We ordered some nice wine (glasses but their list has a wide variety) and split the duck pate- yum! My wife got the wagyu spare rib and I ordered the 20 layer lasagna. Apparently they thought they took too long as they apologized and brought us some of their soup if the day-tomato basil. Texture was very smooth and flavor was great. Then the entrees arrived. Both were great but too much to eat for us so we boxed the leftovers up and proceeded to the cherries jubilee (well we saved room for desert). We always like the spectacle of flaming desserts and thus was fun to watch and eat. Overall a lovely 2+ hour meal that was well paced and all courses very well executed. And less than $125/person with tax, tip, and the 3.5% eco charge. I’ve paid more for less impressive meals. I’d go back for another special occasion and recommend it highly.

                                                        The beet salad and French onion soup were delicious. Husband and I split the short ribs. It was still more than I could eat but o so good. Would definitely recommend.

                                                        A beautiful restaurant - with a lovely view from the terrace seating. The service was attentive and delightful, the food superb. Would definitely return. great menu choices and Definity not costly- Worth every cent!!

                                                        Amazing service and food!! On the pricy side, but that was expected going in. However, you get what you pay for! The ambiance was very romantic. I had the Duck Breast and the chef recommended med-rare. I was hesitant but went with the recommendation. I’m sure glad I did! It was tender, succulent, and all around exquisite! We will return!
