2022 marks Ashten's 25th year of bringing locally sourced, creatively prepared food to guests. Owner, Ashley Van Camp, and award winning chef, Matthew Hannon, work with area farmers daily to procure the best that the Sandhills and North Carolina have to offer. Step into our elegant Dining Room or into the cozy atmosphere of The Pub for a farm-to-table experience. Private dining for groups of 6 to 22 is available on our lower level, as well as outdoor dining, weather permitting. Takeout is also available. Come discover why Ashten's has been a mainstay of downtown Southern Pines dining for a quarter of a century.

                                            An excellent experience as usual and expected. Only limitation was paucity of bacon in both dishes we ordered.

                                            Last night was definitely our worst Ashten‘s experience to date. It took at least 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged at our table. We were brought the wrong type of wine. It was at least another 10-15 minutes after the wine situation was fixed before our order was taken. During dinner, with empty glasses in front of us, we were never once asked if we would like another glass of wine. And then, apparently at the moment we had hit our two hour time limit, the waitress came over to tell us she was sorry, but we needed to leave because there was another reservation waiting. I understand the two hour policy… but if you’re going to make paying patrons abide by that, then the wait staff better be on their A game. And for the love, a courtesy warning at 10 minutes before kick out time would’ve been helpful so I could finish my glass of wine. I’d be remiss not to mention that the food was great and the ambience was great…just an off night, I guess, in the service department.

                                            We were recommended to Ashten’s by a local. It was the best meal we had all weekend in Pinehurst. We loved the ambiance in the bar area. The service was great. Prices were much more reasonable than the Resort & the food was much much better. Highly recommend.

                                            We had the pleasure of dining at Ashten’s last night for our anniversary, and it was truly a memorable experience. We ordered the Crispy Maple Leaf Farms Duck and the 12-ounce Brasstown Beef NY Strip, and both dishes were nothing short of perfection. The duck was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a rich, flavorful sauce that tied the dish together beautifully. The NY Strip was cooked exactly to our liking — tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Our waiter elevated the experience even further with his thoughtful recommendations, genuine enthusiasm, and impeccable attention to detail. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and service exceed expectations, but Ashten’s delivered on every level. Highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion or even just a night out. We will definitely be returning for more!

                                            We really, really enjoyed our experience. The food was innovative, thoughtful and delicious. Our server was attentive and informative and knew everything Ashten’s. The food and ingredients are a cut above. We appreciate the chefs.
