2022 marks Ashten's 25th year of bringing locally sourced, creatively prepared food to guests. Owner, Ashley Van Camp, and award winning chef, Matthew Hannon, work with area farmers daily to procure the best that the Sandhills and North Carolina have to offer. Step into our elegant Dining Room or into the cozy atmosphere of The Pub for a farm-to-table experience. Private dining for groups of 6 to 22 is available on our lower level, as well as outdoor dining, weather permitting. Takeout is also available. Come discover why Ashten's has been a mainstay of downtown Southern Pines dining for a quarter of a century.

                                            I have wanted to dine in here for years. My schedule has not allowed. It was a rainy Saturday night. The ambience, experience ,food, service… all was exceptional.  we sat in the bar area and I would highly recommend.

                                            Ashten’s is always a favorite of mine and of course Valentine’s Day was another great experience. From the beautiful atmosphere and decor to the amazing service. Fresh, local ingredients and great selection of cocktails and wine. Highly recommend getting an appetizer, entree, and you certainly can’t skip dessert. Zarah, the pastry chef is a true magician. Overall 10/10 experience and I’ll surely be back soon!

                                            Sadly, it wasn't the best experience. Hostess greeted us and said, “your table is there, I'll bring you menus”. We waited a while before the server came over. He was very personable, but our waters were empty, our appetizer was forgotten and often he would forget we were sat there next to the partition. In his defense, he may have been the only server in the room, but he seemed to have plenty of time for his other tables. I ordered the salmon, which was good, but there was so much salt in the sauce that it rendered everything else on the plate inedible. My husband got the blue cheese burger, which he said was good, and subbed a salad for the fries. The salad showed up with a $2 charge, which was not mentioned. We order the “fsmous” chocolate cake. It was very good. The server asked if we wanted ice cream, but melted to mention the $4 charge for half a scoop. For the price and ambiance, you would expect better.

The extra charges for add ons are listed on our menus but we are sorry if it was confusing. We always strive to give the best service at Ashten’s and hope you come back and give us another chance.

                                            Food, service and atmosphere were excellent. We were a party of 3 seated in the bar. Started with the artichoke appetizer along with the brie cheese appetizer, both were delicious. Mains were NY Strip, Salmon and Duck - all were great. It’s our go to place while visiting SP.

                                            Fun ambiance, that fits with the history of Southern Pines. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Food was delicious.

                                            Ashten's never disappoints. The food is always fresh and expertly prepared, and the menu reflects the best of seasonal offerings. Service is attentive, but not intrusive. And the ambience when dining in the bar area is perfect for relaxing with friends. Five stars all around!

                                            Great as always! Never disappoints. One of our favorite spots in SP. The pork shank special with green chili cheddar mash potatoes was delicious!!
