Atwater's is a waterfront, intimate, fine dining experience in Geneva, IL. Our Executive Chef locally sources our menu and creates classical dishes with a modern touch. Our seasonal menu offers recipes that are nuanced to include ingredients that are at their peak of freshness. Atwater's offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week. Enjoy beautiful water and courtyard views, private dining space, and al fresco dining on our patio in season. Atwater's offers afternoon tea quarterly. We are nestled within The Herrington Inn, which is also a wedding venue, boutique hotel, spa, and corporate meeting venue. Open to the public and hotel guests, 365 days.

                                    Superb experience, from the greeting upon entering the Herrington, to leaving, satisfied. Service is accommodating and elegant, but friendly. Flavors are unique and delicious, with all ingredients top quality.

                                    If you are looking for an elevated dining experience that includes exceptional, high quality dishes paired with wonderful service in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, this is the place for you. I can’t recommend Atwater’s enough….you must try it!

                                    Very elegant upscale ambiance. We went there for a date night. This restaurant appeals to an older crowd (we are in our 30s and were the youngest people there by a long shot- to the point people were staring at us). Food was delicious- expensive, but good portion sizes. Cost was just around $200 for 2 people; we each ordered a salad, an entree, and 1 alcoholic drink. It is very quiet, dark, and romantic in there. The restaurant is small- only about 10 tables inside- but it was quaint and cozy. Dress code is semi-formal. I wore a skirt and blouse and my fiancé wore nice jeans and a sweater- he felt under dressed, we both agreed a blazer would have been more appropriate. Overall if you are looking for a more formal, elegant evening out- or looking for a place to impress a date- I would recommend Atwater.

                                    Very small venue. We went on a Sunday night and was about 1/2 to 2/3 full. Atmosphere was intimate. Might be different on a Friday night when it is full. I had the Duck at the waiter's suggestion and it was very good. My wife had the Filet Mignon, also very good. We hadn't been there in years but will be going back soon.

                                    I was looking forward to a relaxing lunch and to catch up with my cousin and sister. We began with a glass of Chardonnay and a beet salad that had a light dressing. Our lunch course was a chicken crepe and it was outstanding. Kyle our server was very attentive . We are looking forward to coming back soon.

                                    The halibut was very salty and the creamed brussel sprouts very thick and rich. Would have preferred a side salad instead. We also had the salmon. That was good. Ambiance was nice and the service was good.
