                                                Great service, tasty drinks, excellent food! Amazing corn bread with melted butter and molasses. The duck - a nightly special -was fabulous. And only ten minute walk to Ridgefield playhouse

                                                There is no quiet of private table at Bailey's Backyard and getting a parking spot despite there being lots close by on a Saturday night is a nightmare. However the waiter we had was excellent and the food was imaginative and very good except I do not like hot spicy food and the fancy Eggplant appetizer there was no mention of it being hot/spicy. Also their review listing says American/Seafood and all they had was one dish with Cod and a special using hot peppers with Trout.. So they should really be listed as American TeX/Mex/ Nuevo Cuisine.

                                                Farm egg omelet was fluffy, light, and delicious, as were the salad greens. We went early so it was quiet. Will be back to try other menu items.

                                                We both had excellent meals, the squash bowl and the black truffle hamburger. Our server was very helpful and pleasant.

                                                The food at Bailey's is very good. However, the service is OUTSTANDING! Right from the hostess at the front door who accommodated my elderly husband then our server TJ who was warm and friendly also accommodated us. The fellow who served our food and cleared the table had a friendly attitude and smile. From start to finish a great experience.

                                                A friend recommended Bailey's as my guest is a vegetarian. The brunch menu was varied. I had the apple & gruyere sandwich with a side salad and my friend had the avocado toast. The food was really outstanding flavor-wise, although a tad salty. What my sandwich lacked in quantity (the cheese was rathy skimpy) was made up for in quality. Absolutely delicious. The side salad was extra fresh -- I don't know how they dud it, but the tiny tomatoes tasted like it was July instead of March. The dressing was very good, although the salad was a little over dressed. Do not miss the complimentary cornbread!! I couldn't finish my sandwich but was able to finish that. Service was professional, attentive and friendly. I will definitely be back and will have the fish & chips or the French toast, which were coming out of the kitchen at quite a clip.. 2 hour municipal parking is adjacent. A great gem in Ridgefield.
