The whole experience and food has changed. The steak and crusted potatoe made me feel like they were rationing food. I asked the waitress for medium well and asked about the thickness of the steak in case they needed to butterfly. She said they are thick but never a problem. Then brought the entree and 2 others that ordered their prime filet all sliced.. It was not tasty and very disappointing. We have been going there for at least 30 years. Change is good but this is ridiculous. Food barely warm and presentation was minimal. Dessert was disappointing as well. I’m sad to see the charm gone.

Bambara used to be a favorite but post pandemic their menu is too limited and the food quality is poor to average. I go there only when time is a concern since it’s across the street from my office.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience for our late Valentine’s Day dinner. The Parmesan ice cream with caviar for dessert was an especially wonderful treat. The beef tartare was also extremely delicious.

Our server was beyond amazing. She was cheerful, informative, professional, and took initiative to make sure our order arrived with enough time to leave for our show following dinner. Additionally, all of the dishes (and beverages) we ordered were absolutely fantastic. It’s clear this restaurant knows what it’s doing, has good leadership, and the staff is happy. We’ll done, guys 👏

Bambara was lovely per usual, it’s a SLC staple. Ambience was great, server was lovely, the beet salad is fantastic. I loved the bitter contrast of the blended sesame seeds with the sweetness of the beets. We got the charcuterie with meat which I loved. I love a good charcuterie. Got the blue cheese house cut potatoes chips which were fine, just melted blue cheese on top of potato chips, won’t order those again. My partner and I were pretty disappointed at the steak. It was the special of the night, served cold and unevenly cooked where half was medium and half was medium rare. It wasn’t tender, really stringy, and the fat wasn’t rendered properly. The steak sauce served with it oddly took away from the dish as oppose to adding to it and the steak was also severely under seasoned. Had a really great night and I do love this restaurant, just not the best night as far as food goes.
