   Loved the ambience. Found the starters pricy. Mains- I ordered the striploin roast. Everything was cooked to perfection. My companion ordered the fish which the menu described as coming a bed of pasta over a layer of spinach. When it arrived at the table It was more like a pasta dish w fish as a sprinkled topping. Our obliging waiter rectified the situation with a more generous portion of fish and everyone was happy. Good Americanos. Would definitely go back.

   I enjoyed everything at Bar Mercurio - the friendly cozy atmosphere; the yummy food and loved my pasta al dente (spell right?). Great ambiance and easy location. Will go back again.

   Hard to beat the ambiance if you love copper accents and cozy decor - also, the waitstaff and front-of-house are all very accommodating. Bar Mercurio is very close to Koerner Hall which is why we were there in the first place. That being said, my friend and I started with a kale/caesar that was a bit soggy and since I had just had a fantastic kale/caesar at The Pie Bar the night before, it was disappointing. After that, we both ordered pasta (instead of sharing a pizza) and it was good, but nothing special. In fact, my friend ate only half her meal and left the rest. I would recommend sticking with the pizza or perhaps the daily specials? Also, we had notified the restaurant via OpenTable that my friend was celebrating a birthday and nothing was done regarding that which was disappointing. Why ask on OpenTable for special event details if nothing comes of it? Not in a real hurry to return which is unfortunate since I had raved about the restaurant to my friend.

   I had mistakenly reserved for the wrong day. The hostess and waitress were very accommodating and we had a good meal, in time for us to make the concert.
