Had a 630 reservation, we never even got sat or greeted. Waited an hour past our reservation time to find out their bartender walked out and they had 4 servers. A whole lobby filled with people waiting to celebrate their birthday, like myself. They never turned off their reservation books or informed anyone of what was going on. A number of people walked out after being seated and never served. Managers were no where to be found nor were helping the staff. Some wonderful girl was brave enough to hop back behind the bar to help even though she wasnt a bartender and had a great spirit about the situation.

I had a reservation for 7:15 and unfortunately did not get sat until 8:00. They were clearly very overbooked and understaffed. The food was delicious as always and our sever was very nice, but we waited very long to even be given our menus.

I haven’t be n here in several years. I was celebrating my birthday. I can’t u sweat and why a table that came after us got started before us? The chef was good and the food was good as well. The service was a bit funky. My husband had a good time as he had never been.

If I could give this location zero stars I would. For context I did book a reservation on Friday February 14th - so I was already prepared to be patient and expect some delays when it came to being seated, serviced, and eating but this location on this specific night was just 100% out of control, understaffed, and unprepared for there SCHEDULED RESERVATIONS. Our reservation was for 9:00pm. we areived at 8:50pm. When we walked in the check-in/waiting area was over packed, loud, unorganized, and chaotic. It was so many people that it took 20 minutes to check in (Our check-in time was 9:10pm) Shortly after checking in the manager began to call reservations by name to be seated. By this time it is 9:30pm and our name was not called - after asking the manager why not we were told that they were seating "8:00pm reservations" We than sat and waited til a little after 10:00pm to eventually be called and seated. The host would sit 2-3 tables at a time. We sat at the table for 20 minutes before we received our menus. Then it took 10 more minutes before someone a lady came out and took our orders for our drinks and appetizers. So this is around 10:30pm. Before leaving she states they only have 2 people working at the bar and that is causing all of the delay in the restaurant... We didnt receive our drinks (not our appetizers or main course ordered) until 11:17pm. Meanwhile during all of this 1/3 tables that was seated at the same time as us already had there drinks, alcoholic drinks, appetizers, main course, and there chef was finishing up his show) My partner and I decided to leave ruining our night on Valentines Day. When we were leaving at 11:20pm they were seating 10:00pm reservations. They are scheduled to close at 11:00pm. This location needs to fire everyone starting at the top going down and create a fresh start to ensure proper management, reservations, and customer service. They were obviously overbooked and the managers were not on the same page! DONT COME HERE!!!!!

Had a 5:45 reservation. We were seated in the back near the drafty exit door. At 6:30 we had not received anything, not even water. Complained to management and we received water. By 6:45 we hadn’t received anything else. Complained to management who apologized. We left.

Although it was not crowded when we got there, we still waited approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes to get our food. This was unacceptable to my cranky, eight-year-old who was starving. Also not great for the adults.

Back to the old Benihana experience I’m used to! Great food and service. It struggled a bit the last couple of years which seemed to be due to a staffing shortage, but that seems to have been resolved.

Food is always good. Service is always painfully slow. They are under staffed and under trained all the time and it shows. We have been going to Benihana for years and we know ahead of time to expect a 3 hour meal. Corporate really needs to better train the staff. It’s not a 1 time experience of bad service. It’s the same repeat service for the last 5 years. Expect to wait an extra 15-30 minutes to be seated from your reservation time. Once seated no one will come to your table not even to give you a glass of water until you get up and ask the manager for a waiter or waitress. We had a 5:30 reservation. Sat down at 6:00pm. At 7:15 we only had salad and soup on the table. I had to get up and ask for water 3 times. The alcoholic drinks that the nice people sitting at our table ordered came out around 7:40pm. Once the chef arrived the meal did move along at normal pace. I had to get up and ask the manager for the check and we still had to wait 10 minutes to get it. We love the food at Benihana which is why we torture ourselves with the same inadequate service every visit. We have tried some other teppanyaki style restaurants but the food at Benihana is best. They always give us a discount off our bill or a gift card to a future visit every time. We do not ask for this. We didn’t even complain that much this visit. The manager always proactively offers it due to the poor service. They know the service is bad. I hope corporate is reading this. They just need some extra staff and better training and Benihana could really be a GREAT experience. They could probably have a whole extra seating but due to the extremely slow service I’m fairly certain they miss out greatly reducing profits. I always tip at least 20% even when service is bad as I know this is their livelihood and I am not sure who is to blame but it sure does make it hard to do that here. We will continue to visit hoping for that better service experience! PLEASE SURPRISE ME NEXT TIME!
