Nestled in upper Queen Anne, just a few blocks away from the iconic views of Kerry Park, sits Betty Restaurant. We are proud to have continued to be a Seattle neighborhood staple for over 12 years. Our menu is best defined as seasonally- driven, thoughtfully prepared comfort food. Betty is a gem and in some ways a throwback - to a time when the food and the guest were the most important part of the dining experience.

The food, while remaining consistently good, has gotten quite expensive. A burger and two glasses of wine (cheapest) was $77 each. I do not appreciate the service charge and I simply deduct it from the tip, big pet peeve…just be honest and raise your prices. The service was spotty and inattentive. Had to ask for our server 3 times, had to ask for our dishes to be cleared 10 minutes after finishing….had to ask for the check and then WAIT ten minutes for it be picked up. Not good enough, sorry, you’ve slipped.

Betty is my go to place for a simple comfort meal that is prepared well. It's a modest place with food that hits the spot.

The reviews about the Lasagna do NOT die justice to how excellent that dish was! We counted 10pm years of noodles, cheese, and ample sauce…maybe one slice of bread to soak up the last bit of the sauce could have made this better. Some fun cocktails and a very Awesome Port for desert made for a perfect meal. Service was attentive and amazing as well. The right amount of checking without infringing on our evening out with a friend. Our only complaint, if one, was the noise level. Our reservation was at 5:45 and we had a high top in the back, with half our party having their backs to the bar, which was feet away. By 6:30, we were having a hard time conducting a conversation because of how loud the groups at the bar were…acoustically, there was a pretty massive echo. We worked around it by leaning in closer across our high top, rather than raise our voices and add to the issue. Did it ruin our experience, heck no. But, if you are soft spoken, keep this in mind.

Our first time here. Food was spectacular. Small menu but what they do, they do well. It was a lot of food. Oysters and cabbage rolls for appetizers. Cabbage rolls are Moroccan and the vegetarian. So flavorful. Husband had the lamb shank and there wasn’t a piece of meat left on the bone. I had the portobello mushroom stroganoff. So creamy and mushroom forward. Service was the best.
