                                                                                                      Not very busy on Sunday at 5:30pm. Used their dock for our Duffy boat. Restaurant was less than 50% full. Party of four sat on table next to the window but unlike two other tables, it was oriented with two chairs facing away from the view with our backs to the ocean. There was room to change the table configuration. Burger, cheese bread and ahi were great. Pupu platter mixed rating: not good was the taste and texture of the very tiny crabcakes. Ribs were ok. Steak skewers were great. Somewhat over priced. Maitai was great.

                                                                                                      I made our reservation a couple of weeks in advance. When I arrived, I was told we had to be out within two hours, since they had a Buy Out starting at 6:45pm. This was never disclosed and I was angry because my friends drove almost two hours to meet in Newport,‘so we could celebrate their engagement with drinks and dinner. At about 6pm, the staff began sweeping and moving tables around us, to set up for the private event. To top it off; the filet mignon was tough (two of us had it) and our water glasses sat empty for at least 30 minutes. We had to ASK for water refills. The bill was over $250, for three people, and the experience was awful.

                                                                                                      We had the best time, it was my wife 40th birthday and there were 8 of us. Reservation was much needed, great time and great food!
