    Brought my wife in there to celebrate a special occasion told the hostess and no one addressed anything. Spent $300. Couldn’t even get a Acknowledgment For the special occasion. I Ask the manager if an item contains eggs , Manager stated he’s worked there for 28 years and doesn’t know if it contains egg or not, and they weren’t even concerned that I had an egg allergy. Manager stated he would get me something new to eat meeting a new plate. All they did was take it back and remove the item and readjust it so it looks like it was never there. very poor quality food.

    Familiar with this chain of steak houses from my time living in Washington State where I believe Stuart Anderson founded the Black Angus Steakhouse. Used to eat there regularly in the Puget Sound area and upon moving to California in the East Bay’s Pleasant Hill. Found this restaurant in Citrus Heights to be a good example of the chain. Service was prompt and polite but not hovering, the menu has expanded over the years, the steaks and sides we ordered were prepared as requested, the wine was tasty and not exorbitantly priced as in some steak houses, and we had plenty of time before and after eating for conversation. All in all, a very nice evening out.

    Perfection as usual with Jennifer as our Server, the Campfire Feast started with the zucchini chips appetizer, on to salmon entrees, and the famous Big Mountain Fudgecake to finish. Thanks All!

    Overall, it was great. Service was excellent, cocktails delicious, food was good, but somethings were lukewarm (ribs) or cold (au jus). My prime rib was cooked perfect, but was lukewarm. One person ordered broccoli as her two sides, but received what looked to be less than I did for my one side. All that said, everyone enjoyed their meals and we will definitely return.
