We have dined here many times over the years, but this was our first time for Sunday brunch. Great selection of items and food was great as was the service. View of the river is stunning and we always wrap up our visit with a walk across the pedestrian bridge. It is our favorite place on the river, and lucky us, we can go on a fairly regular basis as we live near by!

We’ve eaten here many times and always enjoy the tavern menu. We’ve also enjoyed the wine dinner series. But this time we dined in the main dining room and were incredibly disappointed with the food. I think they were just having an off night. Service, wine and cocktails were on point as always.

Outstanding as always. This is our "go to" place for all our special occasions. Today was our 20th anniversary. Kim our waitress was GREAT, attentive, but not over bearing.

Highly recommend! Everything was great frome the moment we walked in to the time we left. Enjoyed amazing cocktails at the bar crafted by Laura. The Smoked Seafood Chowder was amazing and the carmalized brussles sprouts are to die for! My husband had the Charlston Meeting Steet Crab which is the signature dish and I had the Braised Short Rib. Portions were generous and absolutely delicious!!! The atmosphere was very cozy and quiet but this is the off season for them. We can't wait to go back when the weather is warmer to sit outside and enjoy a cocktail before another fabulous dinner.

Very pleasant spot for brunch. We had Eggs Benedict (she) and Burger (me) and each were great. Liked the Potato Croquettes but did we miss a dip that was supposed to come with it?

Even though it was Valentine’s Day the service and food were excellent! Some restaurants are so busy it doesn’t turn out that way. I had a very creative halibut dish with olives and sweet raisins etc over a cauliflower potato mash. Yummy! My husband had bacon wrapped filet and they were very kind about substituting one of the sides. I love that the Black Bass Hotel restaurant has French press coffee at lunch and dinner!

The food is always good however this time I had the 1/2 roasted duck which was difficult to cut. I prefer a medium temperature sliced duck breast. My date had the filet that was very good with a tasty bread pudding and string beans as sides. We were not rushed or pushed to order right away. Overall a nice place for a romantic dinner with a great view of the river. Valentine’s Day success. 🥰
