If you're looking for a seafood restaurant in St. Augustine, this unique fly-fishing themed restaurant offers daily fresh fish specials using locally caught fish that you don't usually see on most restaurant menus. The kitchen at BlackFly is a "Scratch Kitchen"; everything is fresh, as local as possible, seasonal and made to order. The menu at BlackFly includes Chop House selections as well as an extensive wine selection. Mike and Cindy, partners in BlackFly and owners of the Famous Collage Restaurant in downtown St. Augustine are the operational managers. The menu is the grand result of their combined expertise, their years of experience in bringing the best possible product to the table and the imaginative input of our talented culinary team. The restaurant is under the internationally known BlackFly Brand of Vaughn Cochran, a Florida artist who lives and paints in St. Augustine, Florida and who developed the famous BlackFly Logo.

    We had the most fabulous waitress her name was Lily. She was sweet accommodating and such great energy. The food was delicious to make the whole experience beautiful.

    Loved the atmosphere but expected this to live up to its best of reputation. The snapper of the day was so tough we had to work hard to knife cut it. The food was just ok.

    Over priced and overrated. Disappointing. I stepped up to the $40 seared Covid. It was overcooked, was a skimpy tail piece and was smothered in a sauce to give it flavor. The $8 bread order was the best part of the meal.

    We purchased 6 meals that ranged from steaks to pasta to seafood, All of them were fantastic !!!

    Disappointed service was very slow, the calamari was good when it finally came tried to order two different bottles of wine, they did not have either, but by the time the server came back to the table the second time to tell us that we were halfway through our dinner. My husband had the catch of the day the vegetables were cold. The risotto was like glue, I had the pizza it was OK well let the manager know one of the owners stopped us on the way out and asked us questions. We will give it another try to see if there is improvement.

    Very good menu with lots of variety. Service was excellent. Food was well above average. Very nice place.

    Great restaurant. Super clean and super comfortable. Cool atmosphere with great art work. The service was excellent. The food and drink were excellent. We had the steak special, seared Ahi, Linguica, and a flet. They were delicious as were the sides. One of the best in St. Augustine.
