"Bobo's" is a stylish destination for the most exquisite steak and crab in the City. With antiqued red walls, colored glass light fixtures, and tablecloths, the restaurant is like a plush Venetian jewel box. Executive Chef-Owner Andrea Froncillo has created a delectable menu that showcases his signature steak and seafood creations. The steak is USDA-certified prime beef, dry-aged for four to six weeks - longer than anywhere else on the West Coast! Our award-winning bone-in filet was the 1st on the West Coast. The crab is Dungeness, harvested from the Pacific Ocean, and roasted in a savory garlic-butter sauce that is positively addicting.

My husband and I decided to have our Thanksgiving Dinner at Bobo’s this year. I hadn’t been in years. I had the New York Steak and he had the Filet Mignon. We ordered a lovely bottle of wine, Caesar salads with the Macaroni and cheese, delicious. … Our waiter Jose, made ordering fun and ensured us that our steaks would be as we preferred. Both were exactly as ordered. We were seated in a lovely booth for two upstairs with a curtain for privacy if needed. Throughout our meal, Jose was extremely attentive. We enjoyed his customer service skills and his sense of humor. Bobo’s is still as interesting as ever with its unique decor and colorful waiters. The bar is intimate with a bartender who’s quick to take your order. Good food, good background music and a fun old school vibe. What more could you ask for! Thank you Bobo’s.

We absolutely love Bobos! We came here last night for Thanksgiving and it was amazing! The service team is super kind and patient and the food was fabulous as always!!!!

This was our first time. Loved the decor, food and service. It was a cozy atmosphere. We were looking for something more welcoming than so many of the austere restaurants these days. And they have a parking garage. We’ll definitely be back.

Service was very slow. The wine list is very limited. Two of us ordered salad (no choice of dressings) we asked for it to be brought with the meal, they were brought to the table about a 1/2 hour before the meal. The appetizer we ordered, and we requested be brought to us before the meal, was brought to us with the entree’s. One meal was salmon and it was not fresh, we couldn’t eat it, it smelled funny. The lasagna was not good, very little crab. We were reimbursed for the salmon. The house salad is delicious and the steaks were good. We will not go back.

Everything was good. Except one thing I could read to the waiter that I was a vegan and didn’t want any dairy products. The brussels sprouts came back with cheese on it and may have been my fault. Not too. Have made it more clear, but he was very attentive and nice.

What a hidden gem. Who’d think a great steakhouse like this would be hidden in a Lombard street motel? Went for my son’s birthday. The shrimp cocktail had the largest shrimp I’ve ever had in a cocktail. We can’t stop talking about it. The steaks were cooked perfectly medium rare, the dinner sides ? Mixed emotions. The macaroni and cheese was spectacular, I’d heard the loaded baked potato was amazing, but while it had butter, cheese and bacon there was no sour cream! All in all a spectacular dinner and even the desserts were impressive. Bobos is expensive. But the prices are a good 20% to 50% less than at other well. Known steakhouses, but the experience and the food are as good or better.
