Italy is a country of breathtaking beauty - both the land and the people. It is this beauty that is the inspiration for Bonterra, a lively and spirited Italian Trattoria.

Chef Kevin Hazelaar prepares contemporary Italian fare with the emphasis on simple, fresh ingredients with an exciting twist. Experience the passions of Italy in our casual dining room; on our stunning Tuscan terrace; or in the Wine Room for a more private event.

Our vibrant cuisine perfectly reflects the passions, style, and gusto that is the Italian way of life.

PARKING: Complimentary three hour parking is available in the Indigo lot located behind the restaurant. Entrance to the lot is on 10th Ave SW, across from MEC. Come inside via the back entrance, and register your license plate on the Indigo tablet inside, found in front of the hostess stand.

    Le linguine alle vongole sono troppo brodose, piene di aglio anche se alla prenotazione avevo dichiarato di essere intollerante all’aglio, ed avevano pezzetti di carne tritata molto piccante. Troppo costoso in relazione a quello che danno e poi, considerando che si spacciano per un ristorante italiano, le linguine alle vongole in Italia sono tutt’altra cosa. Ero tentato di non dare la mancia

    Paolo is very knowledgeable about drinks. And our server the very friendly lazy is very professional and providing us very good recommendations and perfect services. 10/10 experience

    Everything and everyone from the behind scene staff, front of house, food, drinks and ambiance was exceptional. Our table of 4 greatly enjoyed our dinner experience. We could’ve stayed longer but we had theatre tickets. The noise level was greater than usual because of larger bookings of Christmas parties and our table was right next to a very large party which made conversation difficult!! However, it’s that time of year and it won’t stop me booking again

    The food was very tasty, and the service was prompt, friendly and courteous. The bill for lunch for two without any alcohol was just over $100

    You have to try the Goat Cheese Toast! The pasta is prepared to perfection and is the definition of Italian flavours. Highly recommend

    Best meal I have had at a restaurant, possibly ever. Food was amazing. Everything was so so good. Service was wonderful. We have been to Bonterra many times, and it is always great, but tonight was off the charts!

    Had the calamari, mussels, mushrooms, arancini, and meatballs. The dishes were on the salty side this evening but otherwise tasty.

I am sorry that your coursing wasn't as you had hoped, we generally run dishes that are ordered at the same time to share, in the order they are completed.     First timer to Bonterra - a special dinner with my daughter - the ambiance was magical with tasteful Christmas decor and holiday music outdoors as we entered. We felt welcomed and valued. The service, food, ambiance, glassware, cocktails, wine selection... I have only good things to say and can't wait to return.

    Excellent overall experience. Service was impeccable from our server but also had lovely interactions with several other staff. Food was excellent, great recommendations from the server and everything was delicious.
