A San Diego tradition since 1969, the Brigantine has received numerous accolades during our 40+ year history: "BEST SEAFOOD", "BEST CASUAL SEAFOOD", "BEST HAPPY HOUR", and even "BEST SWORDFISH IN THE WORLD", according to USA Today - just to name a few.

Well-known for our signature Clam Chowder, Grilled Swordfish & Crème Brûlée, the Brigantine is a favorite among locals for consistently fresh seafood, succulent steaks & grilled meats.

A favorite destination for locals & tourists alike, the Coronado Brigantine is located in the heart of the village, immediately adjacent to the historic Hotel Del Coronado.

Completely remodeled in 2016, the "new" Coronado Brigantine is an elegant adaptation of its former self. The addition of an intimate private dining room, a surround-seating bar and street-side outdoor patio have been equally well-received.

    We really enjoyed this establishment. Our reservation was at 4:45 and they started serving at 4:30 for dinner. I would recommend coming early. It's a smaller restaurant; I am sure it fills up fast. We really loved the swordfish. It was super flaky and it's hard to cook swordfish that way! The fondue appetizer was delicious as well. The cocktails were great. The service was great...yeah, we will come back. The only critical remark is parking. We got lucky finding a spot in the back but this is Coronado Island and the parking is tough all over. Give yourself plenty of time to find a spot!

    It was an expensive meal and the service was slow, even taking into consideration that it was New Year's Eve. Our server took a LONG time to get water to the table (well after we received out drinks). It took a long time to get our food. The ambiance was dark and significantly more pub-like than the other Brigantines. The food was just okay for the value

    Excellent service. Heating was not on in the restaurant so customers were eating with their coats on. Brussel sprouts appetizer and filet were delicious. New York steak dish with truffle crust was gross, tough, and full of gristle and the green beans were not cleaned properly - don’t order that!

    NEW YEARS EVE THEY WERE NOT PREPARED. SAT OUTSIDE OVERFLOW, SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE FOOD WAS OK MAYBE RUSHED. NOT HAPPY HERE. NOT WORTH THE MONEY I PAID
