A San Diego tradition since 1969, the Brigantine has received many accolades in our 40+ year history: "BEST SEAFOOD", "BEST CASUAL SEAFOOD", "BEST HAPPY HOUR", and even "BEST SWORDFISH IN THE WORLD", according to USA Today - just to name a few.

Well-known for our signature Clam Chowder, Grilled Swordfish, and Crème Brûlée, the Brigantine is a favorite among locals for consistently fresh seafood, succulent steaks and grilled meats.

Located near the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, the Brigantine features fireside seating in a casual dining room, and in the adjacent lounge. Outdoor dining is available on one of our intimate patios, which include both fireplace and water features.

Private dining is available.

The Escondido Brigantine serves dinner 7 nights a week, and lunch Monday-Saturday. Join us for our signature Happy Hour.

The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the center cut filet mignon and my partner had the swordfish. Both were 10/10. Will definitely be coming back again.

Our favorite restaurant in Escondido! We went for a date night on Valentine’s Day. The Seafood Grill Special was excellent, served over a bed of grilled vegetables. Compliments to the chef. Our server Inocente is very friendly, fast and knowledgeable. We will be back soon.

fantastic experience. host smiled with her greeting. Anne our server was pleasant, respectful and efficient. macadamia nut crusted mahi was piping hot. brusselsprout chopped warm salad was fresh with a tiny pop of spice. Hess pinot was perfect. mud pie for bday was delish! patio seating was delightful.

Came in to celebrate Valentine's Day and even though we've lived in Escondido for years, had never visited. Food, service, and ambience was wonderful. Has Innocente as our server and he was fantastic! Definitely a restaurant to go visit, and we will be back! :)

We had dinner there this past Valentine's Day. The food was excellent along with the cocktails. Tristen and Javier (our server) were EXCELLENT. Love going here it's our new go to!!

We had a great server and Dinner was excellent. I’m gonna complain about the bartender at the Brigentine. Our first round of drinks was excellent that we ordered at 5:00 but the second round that we ordered at 6:00 was gross sorry not sure it was made by the same person.

Great waitress. Shrimp stuffed with crab excellent. I was disappointed with the seafood dish of shrimp lobster and fish. I should have had the filet
