We were entertaining a former resident of Kansas City. Her request was to return to Cafe Provence as it was her favorite restaurant while living here. Everything lived up to her memory of this fine restaurant. For lunch, we arrived at 11 am as the first patrons in the restaurant. Service was superb as well as friendly. Food did not disappoint. In fact, the entrees were better than ever.

Of our group of three, two of us order the Tuesday Prix Fixe and one ordered off the menu. Everything was staged consistently among the group so there weren't odd times of waiting. The restaurant can fill up fairly quickly and, of course, more people means more noise. We were seated in the back corner booth so it was pretty quiet. We have all eaten here before and there is nothing on the menu that isn't top notch.

Nothing short of EXCELLENT! My favorite is the French Onion Soup, especially on a cold winter evening. Our server, Tommy, was very attentive, yet not overbearing. He kept tabs on us without continually bothering us, just as a good server should. I really like this place and it obvious that I'm not the only one. That's obvious by how hard it is to get a reservation and the fact that the place was packed on a Monday evening after the long Thanksgiving weekend.

Cafe Provence is an amazing French Restaurant for Kansas City. They stick to what they do best, and as a result have an incredible ability to produce fine meals at an affordable price. We will go back again, and again.
