A Classic French Bistro in the heart of Edison Park has been a dream of Executive Chef and owner Joe Calabrese for several years. Joe was professionally trained at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America located in Hyde Park, New York. Before opening his other restaurant, Zia’s Trattoria (located one block west of Café Touché at 6699 N. Northwest Highway) in 1997, he was sharpening his professional – and knife – skills at several well-respected Chicago dining establishments including Ambria, Spiagia, Un Grand Cafe and the Park Hyatt. Joe lives in Park Ridge, a few short miles from the restaurants, so expet to see him in both restaurants assuring a quality experience for his customers. On days off, Joe can be found at home with his wife, Mary Kay and their 3 boys. Reservations by phone: 773-775-0909. Decision was mine to have dinner for 4 at Café Touché. It was a Tuesday evening so it wasn't real crowed and the noise level was very good for conversing. Food was very good and the service was excellent. This was our second time there and we will be back again. Our first time was a Friday night and to be honest it was very crowded and loud. I definitely preferred the Tuesday evening . Also on Tuesdays there is no corkage fee.

Overall very good experience. Some out of sequence service where food runners arrived at our table with mains before appetizers were cleared. Duck breast was tasty but overcooked. Wines were very good. Moules were wonderful.

Deliciousness!! Loved everything we ordered! Trout, steak & chicken dish, mussel appetizer, and cocktails!! All so tasty! And I can’t forget to give special mention to the warm French bread they deliver as they seat you!! Yum!!!

The food was great and the service was excellent. A little pricey. The only bad thing is they add a fee for using a credit card. That’s a huge negative for me.

Came here on New Year's Eve and the place was very busy and decorated. The ambiance of the restaurant sets it a part from anywhere else in the area. Service was attentive and quick, loved the food and french flavors. My cocktail was especially good. Overall this was a great meal and time with family to celebrate the new year.
