    Always a positive experience at Cap City. Food is great. Service is fast and good. Live the Hot and Sour Calamari!

    Great experience. Restaurant is always super busy so it can be noisy but the staff are very attentive.

    Most of our group ordered the Meat Loaf but a few of us tried the Short Rib Surf and Turf special. It was delicious but a bit pricey. Started off with great Bloody Marys and the Blue Cheese Chips which are always a hit. Celebrated a birthday so the complimentary Carrot Cake was a bonus. Cap City never disappoints.

    We have long been loyal patrons of Cap City Diner, but our recent experience on December 30, 2024, fell short of our expectations. While our server provided excellent service, the overall dining experience was disappointing. The check-in process was unusually slow, with lengthy conversations at the host stand causing a significant delay for guests. Despite being seated promptly with a reservation, the food quality was underwhelming. Two of our party ordered burgers and fries, which lacked distinction. The Philly cheesesteak was meagerly filled, and the fish sandwich was overly breaded. Additionally, the onion rings were excessively greasy. This dining experience did not meet the high standards we typically associate with a Cameron Mitchell restaurant. Indeed, the only aspect that reflected the usual Cameron Mitchell quality was the exceptional service provided by our waitress. Based on this recent experience, we will unfortunately not be returning to the Gahanna location of Cap City Diner.

    I received an email all about New Year’s Eve and clicked through the email to make a reservation. I mad the reservation only to find out on the morning of the 31st that open table app made the reservation for 12-30! And now I will be charged a no-show fee. Why would it book for the 30th when the whole email was promoting New Year’s Eve including a link to make a reservation?!!
