This casual, upscale restaurant offers innovative American cuisine including the freshest seafood from the Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic and Pacific, great steaks from Allen Brothers in Chicago, and regional and seasonal specialties. Daily lunch and dinner specials feature local ingredients whenever possible. The Heights burger can be paired with hand cut French fries, crispy thin onion rings, homemade lemon-pepper potato chips or German potato salad. There is an outdoor patio under a canopy of oak trees that's shady and extremely popular with locals and visitors to San Antonio. The brunch offered on Saturdays and Sundays features a menu of classic egg dishes, Texas pot roast, jumbo lump crab cake, seasonal "out of the blue" seafood entrees, entree salads, and Mustang chicken. Cappy's has an ever-changing, dynamic and well-priced wine list, with great choices by the glass or bottle. Full bar.

    Food and ambiance at Cappy’s was great. General Manager makes an effort to come by every table to make them feel welcome. Would recommend everything on the menu, but especially the mussels & fries!

    We have been to Cappy's many times over the years. It is the perfect "special occasion " restaurant for us. The food is fresh and delicious and there is an excellent wine selection. The service is attentive without feeling rushed.

    They were out of eggnog! I can’t imagine! Some of their fish didn’t arrive. We were there after the lunch rush and service was slow. The food was great. My Caesar Salad was delicious as was the pate. Everyone enjoyed their food. Our server was very nice. It was god, but the experience wasn’t what I’ve come to expect at Cappy’s over the years. I’m sure it was just a one- off experience. I’ll definitely return.

    The food, halibut and prime rib, was perfect as usual. Service was good, nothing at all to complain about, just not quite as friendly as what we normally experience. Noise level is high enough to make conversation a little difficult at times but this is a busy, friendly place and that is to be expected. We will never stop coming back!

    Amazing staff and the food is absolutely delicious, more on the expensive side including drinks but well worth it.

    Our server Bri was super sweet and made good recommendations. Only 1 suggestion, offer the basket of bead at the beginning of the visit.

    The menu has old favorites and delicious new discoveries. We have been going there for over 30 years. Our reservation was for noon on Christmas Eve. We were seated quickly had an excellent waiter. We asked if we could order both lunch and food to go to have for dinner. They said yes!! This is not always an option and were prepared to gracefully accept no for an answer, but we are delighted they said yes. We are so happy to have Cappy's delicious food for dinner tonight as well. All the food is very good but the warm chocolate cake is worth fighting over, and the sticky toffee pudding is truly delicious.
