                                              I visited Carrie Nation for dinner on Feb. 21st, 2025 because it was Jazz Night. Even though I was dining solo, they were kind enough to seat me at the table of my choice, a table or 4 facing the band. The service was very kind and attentive the whole evening, even though they were very busy. I had a light dinner of their house red, a generous bowl of butternut squash soup, and a side of fingerling potatoes, all very good. The music was outstanding; Ron Poster and his trio were terrific, playing 3 sets of jazz standards and, at the end of the evening, pop tunes as well. All in all it was a lovely evening.

                                              Food was great, service was terrible. We were sitting for 45 minutes before the server came back and realized we still didn’t have our appetizer and then lied about how long it takes to grill oysters to cover for the fact that she hadn’t fired the order. She then didn’t come back for another 30 minutes. Food that good deserved much better service.

                                              The service was horrible. We were rushed through the NYE fixed menu with almost no time to enjoy the experience. Our server barely checked on us and we have to waive him down numerous times to get service. The food was blah and lukewarm warm at best. The vibe was great but I don’t think we will be going back.

                                              Our drinks were excellent. Our server was very attentive and helped assure one of our party with allergies that his meal choice was safe. The food was really average & uninspired. The big chunky fries with the fish and chips were undercooked. The butternut squash soup tasted primarily of cream & not squash. Overall just an average meal.
