   This was our 2nd chance, hopefully redemptive visit to Catches Waterfront Grille. We were not made aware that the regular menu was unavailable. Like other restaurants on OpenTable often do, they should have had a disclaimer that this was a BUFFET ONLY while making the reservation. A buffet is a much different experience than we were looking for our Mother's Day experience. My toddler has extreme allergies, and we bring food for him. The waiter tried to charge us for him as an adult (he is 3). We explained that he did not eat anything, and we were not aware it was a buffet. So they tried charging us a child price instead. Again, he did not eat anything. Finally, they took it off the bill. The cost for 5 adults was absurd given the food options, quality, and 15-minute wait in a buffet line to serve yourself the majority of the meal. Adding a 20% mandatory included gratuity on top was just the guarantee we will not be returning to Catches.

   I take my mother here for Mother’s Day every year. This was the first year I experienced the buffet. The food was good, except it was not hot at all. We mentioned it to our waitress. What I was the disappointed about was the drink I ordered was a different price on the menu than when I receive the bill. I was extremely disappointed about the automatic gratuity, and additional service fees that were added to the bill. Unfortunately, this will probably be the last Mother’s Day here.

   We live in holiday, but we’re excited to try a place close to home. The reviews were good and they definitely went above and beyond the 5 stars was excellent. The food was amazing. The server was awesome the place was extremely clean I love it and we will return here soon Donna Sweigert 5-27-25

   I like the ambiance at Catches and Kathy our waitress was very good. On the down side however, there was long hair in the butter for bread and the yellow fin was dry, over cooked. Sorry, I don’t like to give negatives however it happened.

   Our server was fantastic. Our food was food u expect to find in a cafateria. When u go to a restaurant you go for the food and that was just awful. Nothing was fresh. Cold bread. Shrimp in shrimp cocktail was boiled in water NO SPICES. The fish course was so OVER COOKED. If it did not have a sauce on it, I would have choked. The ham was dry and OVER COOKED with no sauce to wash it down. The roasted potatoes tasted like they cooked them 3 days before and warmed them up for dinner today, but they were cold. The clam chowder tasted like it was made by Campbell's Soup. Sad, this used to be fine dining now, just a beautiful building. My suggestion. Charge more if u have to but serve good food. Serve less, but do it right, and if your chefs can't cook from fresh ingredients, then fire them and get some that can.

At Catches Waterfront Grille, we aim to deliver dining experiences which exceed the expectations of our guests, during your recent visit we failed in that mission. The monetary cost of dining out grows higher everyday and guests like yourself deserve a meal that is worthy of your patronage.    Desk attendant confirmed confirmation. "Hey" this . "HEY" What is that?...kind of greeting. They weren't even busy yet.at 11:50. Seated, Noone came to table. I went to find server or host who seated us. So my son went to the bar to get water and a beverage. Server came to table said she should've come to our table but the manager gave her another table in another area. Food was cold, chicken dish and Mahi dish was dry like cotton. Over priced, under service, many other places to give business.
