Celestino Ristorante in Pasadena is no longer a well-kept secret. The Drago Brothers continue to exceed expectations with the freshest seafood, finest homemade pastas, organic meats, and variety of desserts made on-site. Some of the favorites include; Florentine style T-bone, black and white ravioli filled with shrimp, branzino al sale, flown-in burrata and vanilla custard with an assortment of fresh berries. Come in and enjoy authentic regional and seasonal specialties complemented by an award-winning wine list. We offer dynamic Private Dining rooms, a full bar, garden patios, and the friendliest staff to make any meal or special event at Celestino Ristorante most memorable. We do not up charge for Private Dining room use, or special Wine Dinners. Open Monday through Sunday for dinner seven days a week. Lunch hours are Monday to Friday.

                                                                                              Arrived at our reservation a few minutes early, still waited about 20 minutes past the reservation time. Was not bothered by the wait as the restaurant was busy. Once we sat we received water and bread from the expediter. The waiter took our order (to memory), 3 main entrees and a shared salad appetizer. Appetizer salad was out in 5 minutes. We never saw the waiter again, 55 minutes later we asked the expediter if our order was forgotten as other parties were sat, ordered and had received our food. The waiter came and said the kitchen was to blame, not him. However, if he had come by he would have noted, he was not well organized. The expediter was great, he actually apologized, he was professional. The reservation noted a birthday, so when we saw a dessert and singing in the back room (Venice paintings) we thought, Hmmmm maybe, but no that was for the neighbor table. Waiter brought our kids a scoop of ice cream and then I had to finally flag him down for a Check, so despite the mistakes he was still not attentive. We paid the full check, 20% tip and enjoyed my wife’s birthday and did not let the terrible service taint our good feelings. I feel like I should have spoken to the owner but it was late and at that point we just wanted to go. The food was great, highly recommended, the service was a let down.

                                                                                              Been a while yet dining here remains a wonderful experience. The pastas and entrees are grand and the wine cellar offers great vintages and varietals. All in all, we would travel from home in Culver City to dine here. Looking at the Drago fraternal restaurants on the Westside!

                                                                                              We enjoyed our meal here. We were seated promptly and the waiter came by immediately to get us settled, and then gave us several minutes to look at the menu, which was nice - we didn’t feel rushed even though they were clearly busy and every table taken. Three of us had the specials, and the risotto with shrimp, fava beans and tomatoes was excellent. Highly recommend! The ravioli stuffed with shrimp and crab in a lobster sauce was also yummy. The prices are very reasonable and the staff authentically Italian. It was an enjoyable experience, though a tad loud.

                                                                                              The service started out poorly as they sat us at a folding table with chairs, there was no bread plates when the bread came. It also took them forever to take our drink order and they also don't have a "by the glass" wine menu?? Odd, I have never encountered that so we kept on having to ask the waiter for samples before we ordered the wine. Dinner also took forever to come after asking. The ONLY constellation to this was the food was very good when it came. Lastly, they also charge you for the small bread baskets that they bring to the table, pretty petty.

                                                                                              We couldn’t have picked a better place for an pre-Christmas celebratory lunch. We three each had a different pasta. All were fantastic. Atmosphere was festive without being too noisy. And service, as always, was superb.
