Imagine a place where the rugged beauty of Sonoma Valley meets the art of crafting exceptional wines. Hamel’s 124-acre estate is home to four certified organic and biodynamic vineyards, producing boutique quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Grenache, and Sauvignon Blanc. Founded in 2006, by Pamela and George Hamel Jr., with just a single acre of vines. Hamel strives to blend tradition with innovation to create wines that capture the essence of their unique terroir.

Apparently Char does not serve pasta with their chicken parmesan. The server graciously got a bowl of elbow noodles for us. Waitress unapologetic.

I wanted to take my son to a nice dinner and couldn't have chosen a better place than Char. From the moment we sat down, I server Joe worked with us to really find what would be the best dishes for us. He patiently and enthusiastically educated us on each dish and its profile and listened to our preferences then made absolutely perfect suggestions for us. Needless to say the food was fantastic on spot on for us. My son said it was the "best meal I've ever had" (He's 20). If you want to make a night out special, you will never go wrong with Char! Thanks Joe for a great night and a special memory for me and my son.

Phenomenal job as always here. Bone in filet was perfectly cooked and amazing flavor with the Diane preparation. Wife always enjoys the surf and turf entree which leaves us too full for dessert. If we had left room we would have ordered the chocolate mousse cake or bread pudding which are both favorites
