Finally, a New York style atmosphere and experience crosses the Hudson to Central Jersey. Char Steakhouse's innovative cuisine features only the finest cuts of Dry Aged and Prime Beef with fish delivered fresh daily. Guests will dine by landscaped views revealed by towering windows. Mahogany wood walls and ceiling treatments create an authentic steakhouse environment rivaled by none in the New Jersey dining scene. Unique features include four modern fireplaces that are the first of their kind, a curved wall of water that rains serenity in the aptly named Rain Room. Guests can enjoy 7 cuts of the finest quality dry aged beef or snack on oysters and colossal blue crab from our premier raw bar. Seating in the lounge is offered on a first come first serve basis or party goers can reserve arched custom booths for up to twelve.                                                                                                                   Great meal for my daughter’s birthday. Being holiday weekend, it was exceptionally quiet. Our server was outstanding and the food was perfect.

                                                                                                                  First of all, food was outstanding. The steaks were terrific, the sides were great, the portions were very generous. (We went the Friday after Thanksgiving and now we have steakhouse leftovers in addition to turkey.) The service from Steven was also great - very knowledgeable, personable, but not intrusive. One caveat - the inside dining is very noisy. No rugs or tablecloths, and a high ceiling make for a noisy experience. The ambiance is fine. The food is pretty expensive - although I think it was worth it. I won't be eating here every week, but for special occasions, it's OK.

                                                                                                                  I eat at Char Steak House fairly regularly, and I must say that I have found the food quality consistently above average, and the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff exceptional! My Server Merve was outstanding as always.

                                                                                                                  Server Merve provided perfect service, knowledgeable of the menu and good at matching menu items with our taste and interest. The experience was delightful, food was excellent. Don’t forget to leave room for the chocolate moose cake! If you’re going to Char Stake House, do yourself a favor and ask to be seated in Merve’s section to ensure that you have the best possible experience Char can provide!
