Chop was created for people who love sharing, connecting and everything steak. We are proud to offer a menu that shares our commitment to sustainable beef sourcing, serving high-quality cuts of 100% Canadian beef. It isn’t just the meat that’s special – it’s also how we cook it. Our Montague broiler cooks at up to 1800 °F, giving a beautiful crust and flavour to every steak! We slow roast our prime rib in a humidity-controlled oven, keeping it mouth-watering and tender. And we put this level of care into each of our hand-crafted drinks, and from-scratch dishes, including plant-based and seafood options, with something for everyone to enjoy. All of this quality comes with friendly hospitality in warm and energetic rooms. Open for lunch, happy hour, dinner and late-night!

    Server was very good. Some items were very overpriced. The Crab Oscar was a teeny tiny bowl. Otherwise pretty good.

    I placed a special request for a table and "not a booth" due to a special need of one of my companions. I was then called by the restaurant to confirm the reservation, after confirming the reservation in the Open Table email, and they did not tell me that my request could not be honoured. Consequently, our dinner plan began with about 10 minutes of not knowing whether my companion could actually sit comfortably and whether our new year's plan might be ruined. Fortunately, they brought a chair which was a bit low for our booth table but workable. They should have reviewed my request before they called so we could decide on a solution beforehand. I will word any essential requests differently from now on, asking for the restaurant to confirm whether the request can be met before we attend.

    When making the reservation, I specifically included a request to have a special birthday message written on the dessert for my husband. Additionally, when greeted by the server at the table, I mentioned again that this was a birthday celebration. Unfortunately, when the dessert arrived, it had no message and looked like an ordinary dessert. I informed the server that my request had been overlooked, but she blamed the manager for not relaying the special instructions to her. To make matters worse, she even asked if we wanted to order another dessert, despite knowing from the start that this was a birthday dinner. It was truly disappointing to have such a casual and unremarkable experience on what should have been a special night.

    The steaks were very tough and the lobster was way over done. The avocado bowl was very nice.

    A wonderful experience for a 61st wedding anniversary! Excellent service and stellar food from the appetizers to main cours and delightful cheesecake dessert. The staff was attentive and courteous. The seating was excellent and really set the tone for the evening. Thank you very much for a memorable, delicious and thankful evening. Truly special. Highly recommend.

    My friends and I had a beautiful evening together thank you to our server David. Everyone is so welcoming and everything was on point.
