A couple enjoying each others company tucked into a banquette late in the evening…a group of girlfriends people-watching from the sidewalk tables over brunch…two neighbors stopping by to grab lunch at the bar.

Our whole dining experience was ruined from the moment we walked in. I had made a reservation 2 days previously with Open Table for my husband and I at 6pm on Christmas Eve and requested Standard seating. As soon as we checked in we were told by the host and waitress that we would have to sit outside. After we explained to them that by husband had a neurological condition and I had a bad back which would be aggravated by the cold, the host said we could have an inside table, but it had to be free by 7 pm, so we would have have one hour and 15 minutes to eat. I have frequented this restaurant several times in the past, but I assure you I will not be going back there again.

Great place! We really enjoyed the food. Mussels very amazing. Butter lettuce can use some jazz!

Excellent all around! We had the boeuf bourguignon, steak frites, blanquette de veau. All delicious. We also enjoyed the desserts, we’d recommend the crème brûlée and chocolate fondant. Great atmosphere inside and great staff.

Tasty, cozy, lovely local spot. All the staff members were incredibly kind and gracious - can't wait to come back :)

Love coming here for brunch. Delicious choices and when you sit on the side walk you feel like you are in France.

Yesterday was the third time I had lunch at the Chouquet’s. It is an awesome restaurant which gives a taste of French lifestyle and cuisine. I can only praise the people working there as they definitely made it possible to feel having lunch in Paris. I recommend Chouquet’s to each and every one who wants to travel to Paris without having to board a plane. Keep up the great work. Georges

The food was very good; I had a delicious trout salad that served well as an entree, my friends had the beef stew (I don’t eat beef but it looked very good and she loved it) and the other had mussels which I don’t like but she seemed to like. We got the cheese plate that was really good too. The waiter was attentive. We wanted ice cream around the corner at salt and straw, so no reviews of dessert

The food here is terrific! Wait staff is exprienced. Noise level high - ceilings are hard material. Good crowd. No ambient music. Owner chatted with us as we left. Our server, Maria, was helpful and prompt. Tight seating makes for great eavesdropping. Overall, we were very impressed. Even in Portland, OR the food - classic French - is difficult to find.
