The holiday spirit was definitely there today🎄even thought they were extremely busy everything went along nicely. The old fashion was so good…one thing I would have liked better was the squash sliced Brussels sprout salad said it has goat cheese as an ingredient, however it was in the sesame cracker that was served with it. About misleading and I would have enjoyed it on the salad… otherwise it was all good

There were four of us instead of six. The manager received my text with the updated headcount and responded promptly. We were seated at a four-top and were able to easily chat with each other. My salmon was exceptional. One of my guests chose the shaved Brussels sprouts salad, and the other two ordered the crawfish sandwich. Both of the gals with the crawfish were not impressed. It was dry and overdone. I think they expected a smaller crawfish cake similar to a crabcake. I don't believe we would order this dish a second time. I would order the salmon again. It was cooked perfectly, and the flavorful sauce and side vegetables were fresh and tasty.

Our small group of 3 friends come to City Grocery annually during the Christmas season to celebrate our friendship and have been doing so for many years although this isn’t the only time we dine there. This time we decided to make it dinner instead of a luncheon. It was a pleasant but much different experience, less casual, but we did enjoy ourselves immensely. The meal, as always, was superb, and the service impeccable. We ordered desserts to go which, when home, I was sad to see it was quite small but was tasty. We will return soon! I highly recommend.

Lovely staff, very slow to have not been all that busy, they did have a couple of large parties that could’ve been the issue. But it is so loud in there you cannot carry on a conversation.

Fantastic dinner! Had the short ribs (SO good), scallops, and poached pear butter cake. All were amazing. Great service too.

We had the best service — it was my birthday, and they let my mom come decorate the table and served my birthday cake! And such great food, an Oxford staple

Three of us dined at City Grocery last night and everything was delicious. We especially enjoyed the quail appetizer and the fried oyster salad which we shared. But the entrees were also delicious. Shrimp and grits, pork shoulder and beef falling off the bone. Ended with pumpkin tiramisu that disappeared quickly ! Highly recommend this restaurant! Great wine also.
