   Prime rib was delicious, the black forest cake for desert was superb. The service was also great and not too intense

   Staff was very friendly. Our server, Geoffrey, was fantastic. Was patient with our questions and made spot on recommendations. Food was amazing, start to finish. I only wish we could have tried even more from their menu!

   My boyfriend and I stayed here to celebrate a late Valentine’s Day and we were blown away! Service was great, the ambiance is cozy, warm, and intimate; and the food was amazing! And if you get Tobey as your server, she goes the extra mile to ensure you are having a wonderful experience! There was a couple sitting next to us who were raving about the crème brûlée so we decided to try it too. It is truly the best we have ever had! Even better than the one we got in France! If you have the opportunity to go, please go! We will certainly be back!

   Unfortunately, the filet was not of good quality. When you pour sauce over a filet, it feels as if there is something to hide. The hotel was very good about crediting our meal, but would rather have had a great experience,

   Every Valentine’s Day we treat ourselves and have been to many Valentine’s Day special menus at various 5 star restaurants. I randomly stumbled across the Cliff House and decided to book. Everything from the ambience to the staff to the pianist was impressive. The historic building was beautiful, the food excellent and our steaks were just right. I recommend it for sure! We will be back!

   We weren’t made aware of the special Valentine menu. And as it had no vegetarian entrees it made it difficult for my girlfriend. We ended up splitting a 3 course. The Lobster Thermidor was ok, not what I’m used to. A bit spicy with too many capers? The Ratatouille was good according to my girlfriend. Dark Chocolate strawberry cheesecake was nice, more like mousse. Black Cherry Dark & Stormy decent. Pretty pricey @ 100$+ per person. Our server was very good though 🏆

   We had a very nice dinner and our server was great. They were out of a few things which was a bit disappointing but overall a very nice experience for a pre-Valentine’s Day dinner.
