The Columbia is Florida’s Oldest RestaurantSM, founded in Tampa's historic Ybor City in 1905. Family-owned and operated for 119 years, the restaurant has earned acclaim for old-world charm as well as for its award-winning Spanish/Cuban cuisine and wine list.

Open 365 days a year, including all holidays and serving lunch and dinner daily.

Casual attire is fine, but we don’t allow sleeveless shirts on men in the dining room.

Flamenco Dance Shows: There is an $10 cover charge per person for guests over the age of 12.

Monday through Thursday dinner reservation times for the 7 p.m. show are 5:30, 6 or 6:30 p.m.

Friday and Saturday dinner reservations for the 7 p.m. show are 5:30, 6 or 6:30 p.m. and for the 9:30 p.m. show, seatings are at 8:30 or 9 p.m.

Reservations for dinner and the show are required. Please call the restaurant to check availability for reservations.

    Un po’ buia la sala, il tavolo era illuminato da una luce fioca. Per il resto più che sufficiente

    As a lifelong Floridian, I’ve enjoyed dining at the Columbia Restaurant many times over the years. It truly is a wonderful place, and my husband and I have made it our go-to spot for celebrating special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. The food remains consistently fantastic, and the waitstaff are always attentive and professional. Their wine list is impressive, and the overall quality of the dining experience hasn’t faltered in terms of cuisine or service. That said, our recent visit left us feeling a bit disheartened—not due to the food or staff, but because of the overall atmosphere. The Columbia has become much more of a tourist destination, which has changed the tone of the experience. There was a time when dining here felt like an occasion—you dressed up, and the ambiance reflected that. Last night, the guest at the table next to ours was wearing daisy dukes, which felt a little out of place for what once was a more refined setting. The dining rooms also feel increasingly overcrowded. Tables are packed in so tightly that getting to your seat without bumping into others is nearly impossible. The noise level made it difficult to carry on a conversation with those at our own table. So while I still recommend the Columbia for its outstanding food and service, those seeking a more upscale, special-occasion atmosphere might find the current experience lacking in that regard.

    The restaurant is beautiful! The salad was delicious and the Cuban sandwich was wonderful! Next time I will try the Paella for dinner!

    I've dined in three of the five Columbia Restaurants (Ybor City, St. Armands and St. Augustine) and all three are deliciously consistent with outstanding cuisine and service. It's five stars across the board and the only recommendation I have is to make a reservation be it lunch or dinner because Columbia is extremely popular. The wait yesterday at noon was 45 minutes in Ybor City and this is a very large restaurant.

    Our server was outstanding. Very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, simply a delight. We loved our private dining area, behind some curtains. Cocktails and dinner were outstanding!
