Built in 1790 as a barn and named for local farmer John Kittle, the farm to table connection that began back then continues today at The Kittle House Inn. Internationally renowned for its Wine Spectator Grand Award wine list, superlative hospitality and contemporary American cuisine, it is a sophisticated country dining experience located only 45 minutes from Manhattan. Whether stopping in for a casual meal in the Tap Room or planning a formal intimate celebration from 2 to 200 guests, you'll find something for everyone and every occasion at The Kittle House. The culinary team focuses on the local bounty of the Hudson Valley, from salads, burgers, & fresh cold shellfish to more refined cuisine, available in the Tap Room, Main Dining Room and Ivy Hill Room. And nowhere is there a greater selection of fine wines (5000!) and other libations. Also a Bed & Breakfast, there are 14 rooms for overnight accommodations.

Was looking forward to this meal but at this price, we could have had a Michelin star meal in NYC. I was dissatisfied with the menu and value

Went on Valentines day. Overpriced Price Fixe for the experience. Service is mediocre, food was mediocre at best. No management to be found or ever ask how things were. Servers for the price of $155 a person could have been off the street and thrown to serve. I have no problem with paying almost $500 for a dinner for 2, but the service and food should be better than I can provide. So, we were disappointed. The building and setting is nice though. and we were greeted nicely......after that ehh.

We enjoy the food and the service I did not check the cost of the Valentines dinner price fix before making the reservation I think the charges were excessive

Valentine’s Day is always difficult at a restaurant but it could not have been nicer. From the welcome we received at the front (big smiles, coat check, etc) through dessert and a complimentary rose on leaving, it was a magical evening. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable.

I have dined here many times and have never had a bad experience. In fact, my son got married there. The restaurant and ground are beautiful. The service spot on and they are friendly and accommodating

We booked our reservation two weeks ago and it seemed like we were given a "throw away" table right next to the kitchen. No one checked on us for 20 minutes, and it took another 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Dessert came 15 minutes after we ordered and the coffee I ordered came 15 min after that. Food was very very good, but service could have been better.

Thoroughly enjoyed our brunch at Crabtree's Kittle House. The four course prix fixe menu provides options for everyone's taste and is very generous. Food is delicious and service is very welcoming and attentive. The views and ambience are peaceful. We'll definitely be regulars.
