We decided to give this restaurant another chance from a previous experience a few years ago. We love Bedford Springs. We so wanted to have a fantastic experience. We left extremely disappointed and agreed we have given this place enough chances and have decided this was our last visit to this restaurant. Our Server was very nice and attentive. Our appetizers/salads were very good and presented quickly. Same with our meals. we ordered the Special Filet and Scallops. My Filet was to be prepared medium and mine came out raw/rare. Unfortunately the time it took to prepare a new filet meant my wife eat her meal ahead of mine and then watch me eat mine 20 minutes later when it came back. They fixed it properly the second time. No apologies! No Manager coming over and checking in. This place charges fine dining prices but you do not receive fine dining treatment. One small thing that fine dining restaurants do is take your leftover and package them for you. That didn't happen here, a container and bag were left on the table for us to do.

Lovely space and food is quite good! Service was also very attentive. We have thought the food was consistently better in the past 10+years, having been guests since the hotel reopening in 2007.

Very disappointed in this place - ordered the steak, it was $66 - which would have been fine given that it's the famous "Bedford Springs" if it was actually good. It wasn't even a Ribeye, or Filet Mignon, or porterhouse.. nope. It was a New York Strip. Asked for it to be cooked medium. They gave me Pittsburgh Rare (browned outside, pink bloody inside). I never ask for steak to be sent back but this time I had to, and I was very polite about it. Server brought it back and it was between Rare and Medium Rare at best. I ate it but I could've bought that steak at the grocery store for $20 (if that) and cooked it just as good on a cast iron myself (and I'm not a great cook). They weren't busy either - there was maybe six tables when we got there, and 3 when we left. Wife ordered the scallops and they were ok - not worth $50-some dollars though - at best $25 and I'm being charitable. Also ordered a non-alcoholic mocktail which they charged $12 for when the menu said $8. I did not complain.. did not ask for anything to be removed from the bill.. and I tipped the server 20% because I used to be a server/bartender so I get it. But I would not go back. I grew up in Bedford, PA - currently live in Pittsburgh, and always wanted to go but I wouldn't recommend the Crystal Room based on this experience. If you're in PA and want a decent dining experience for the same amount of money, make the trip to Pittsburgh and go to any one of the following: Eddie V's, Del Frisco's, Eddie Merlot, The Lamont, or Monterey Bay.

If you want an upscale roadside diner then this is for you. The pictures shown on their website are deceiving. If there is a dress code there wasn't one the night my wife and I were there. Screaming children running around the tables and excessive noise from the open kitchen and the hallway didn't help. The food and service were outstanding. It is a shame the rest of the experience wasn't. If you plan on getting dressed up and are looking for fine dining ambience go somewhere else. You will be disappointed if you come here.

We were seated 20 minutes late, it took an hour to get our appetizers (soup and salad) and another 20 minutes after we were finished our appetizers to get our meal. no one ever acknowledged the slow service - which was the most disappointing part.

We’ve dined here several times and have always had a great meal. But last night was the exception. While my husband’s trout was exceptional, my pheasant was overcooked, dry and difficult to cut. What a waste. Moreover, it was served over a couple corn cakes, which were like cardboard. The blackberry sauce should have complemented the dish but, instead, seemed like an afterthought flavor with the pleasant and corn cakes. The restaurant comped us a free dessert, but they should have comped us the $46 price of the inedible pheasant.

To be clear, I’m a big fan of the Bedford Springs resort, but the upscale dining options there have always felt…underwhelming. I dined on a Saturday night in the Crystal Room. I like the way the Crystal room presents, with simple, but classic decor right in the heart of the hotel. But the menu is very conservative and rather limited, and quite expensive, so it can’t help but be a little disappointing. My partner had the salmon and I had the pork medallions: both were good, solid, well prepared, and flavorful. Our server was very nice, attentive and charming. Our food came out in a very timely fashion. I’ll dine there again I’m sure, and my guess is that when I do I will again wish the prices matched the overall experience a bit better.
