CUCINA enoteca is centrally located in the Irvine Spectrum! Owner Tracy Borkum's flair for combining great ambience, award-winning cuisine and unparalleled service are once again starring components in this latest Urban Kitchen Group creation. Executive Chef Tim Kolanko and Chef de Cuisine Cesar Sarmiento bring their artistry to the table as guests enjoy an open kitchen. The menu features Italian classics with a modern twist, made with the freshest local, organic and sustainable ingredients. Along with a diverse selection of wines by the glass, guests may visit the restaurant's retail area to select from over 200 bottles for dinner (corkage fee of $10 applies) or purchase wine to go. The energetic space features contemporary elements and vintage artifacts creating the feel of a modern Italian kitchen combined with the comfort of an old rustic farmhouse.

Delicious food. Fantastic play list. Great ambience except that it’s far too dark- the menu writing is pale and tiny, and in the dark, almost unreadable. At least light the candles on the tables, or better yet, use table lamps.

Food is always good here and so is the ambience. Our server wasn't very attentive at all though and we had stretches of 10-15 min or more when he never came by our table. It also took over 15 minutes for them to get us a glass of wine once we ordered them.

What a lovely place. Mathew gave great personal service. The stuffed squash blossoms (fiori di zucca) were as good as any I've had in Italy. My mistake is that I ordered the amatriciano, instead of Mathew's recommendations. It was beautiful. Pasta was perfectly cooked. But instead of spicy it was just really salty. The chef advises he doesn't add salt to the dish, and the pasta was not salty, but the sauce was not edible. I will definitely return here though.
