Food was exquisite. Cooked to perfection. We had the calamari and she crab soup, then the Steak Oscar and my man had the sirloin with a crabcake. The drinks were strong enough and tasted delicious. Try the P.Y.T. and the chocolate cherry kiss, they won't disappoint. He also had the barrel aged old fashioned and said it was the best old fashioned he had ever had. Dessert was the white chocolate bread pudding and the key lime pie; they were fantastic, as well. We were not rushed, we had everything we needed quickly and all the staff were welcoming and friendly. Pricey? Yes but well worth it. This was my 2nd time there, his 1st. We will definitely return!

A Perfect Night at The Boathouse at City Point I had the most incredible experience at this restaurant! On February 14, 2025, I got engaged to my best friend—one of the happiest moments of my life, second only to becoming a mother. I was completely overjoyed and surprised! The food and service were absolutely excellent, making the night even more special. Despite living in the area for a year, this was my first visit to The Boathouse at City Point, and I’m so glad he chose this restaurant for such a memorable occasion. I couldn’t have asked for a better setting to celebrate such a beautiful moment. Highly recommend!

This historic hotel in Petersburg, VA has been lovingly restored. Shirley’s offers a delicious dining experience from craft cocktails to 7 layer coconut cake. The three of us very much enjoyed every bite. Great service. Classic old school hotel atmosphere complete with basement speakeasy, The Boiler Room. Reasonable prices. Guaranteed return. Well done!

I’ve had another location before, but I was really excited about eating here being that it’s now so close to home. The food was overall good, it met my expectations. However our waitress needed more training. She was very forgetful/clueless. There were also some discrepancies with the menu and pricing. Be sure to review your checks before leaving because they will slap items on your bill that you didn’t receive!! I would rate this location 7/10

The food is nothing short of outstanding, showcasing bold and authentic Caribbean flavors in every bite. From perfectly seasoned jerk chicken to rich, aromatic chicken curry, amazing chicken pineapple fried rice is a celebration of the islands. The service is equally impressive; the staff is attentive, friendly, and eager to make your experience unforgettable. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations. Highly recommend!
