Barbecue season never ends at the Palomino Smokehouse!! Situated in the heart of downtown Calgary with the largest smoker in Western Canada. All of our meats are smoked low and slow everyday as we go through pounds of BBQ classics such as Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork and Ribs. Our Smoked Chicken, New Orleans style Catfish Po'boy, award winning Chili and rib-sticking Macaroni & Cheese are also extremely popular with the locals. All of our BBQ sauces (House, Chipotle and Carolina Mustard) and Rubs are made in-house and are gluten free. On weekends we feature the famous Cowboy Brunch, our BBQ-inspired take on breakfast classics which are available for both early and not-so-early risers. We feature a large selection of beer, whiskey, bourbon and other spirits to quench your thirst.

South Block is a North-Carolina inspired BBQ hall and brewery on the edge of Mission, in Calgary. Upstairs you’ll find a large dining room, 20-seat bar, and a year-round indoor/outdoor beer garden.     Food was absolutely delicious! I loved how you can just order all the different kinds of meat separately! Great place for a carnivore! Drinks were top notch as well. If you’re a whiskey drinker this is the place! Server was very good and she was very friendly! Was a busy place and we barely waited at all! Highly recommended!

    We had family come to town and we thought Hayden Block would be a great place to take them as they love barbecue. The ambiance in the back with the fireplace is fantastic. It was great that my 16 year old nephew was able to enjoy the spot as they allow minors until 8:00 pm. The service was fantastic and the food delicious. The brisket was very tender. All of the sides were excellent. If you are a whiskey drinker they have an incredible selection which is half off during happy hour 3:00 - 6:00 pm Monday - Friday.
