Described as "Brazil in Cleveland", Batuqui is in the heart of Cleveland, OH and emphasizes the cuisines of the Bahia and Minas Gerais states of Brazil. Set in a casual but appealing dining room, there is also a full bar with custom cocktails.The menu at Batuqui is full of exciting and unique choices and they are known for their authentically grilled top sirloin steak called Picanha. They offer appetizers like the Frango Passarinho which is fired chicken in a cilantro sauce or the Salgadinhos which are savory hand-rolled Brazilian bar snacks and entrees like the hearty traditional Brazilian party dish called Feijoada. They have fantastic salads and an array of intriguing Brazilian entrees.     Only comment, my wife ordered a French 75 cocktail but was served a ‘Brazilian version’ which was nice, but wasn’t what she ordered or expected. Maybe the server could have told her in advance?

    Went on New Year’s Day when it was not busy. Our server Moe was OUTSTANDING. He recommended a superb limeade pitcher that was generous and fairly priced - more than enough for our 3 kids and myself to share. The meats were great and plentiful and the salad bar was well stocked. Most of the meats had a lot of char which our family enjoys. Would love to see the kids pricing be just a bit lower or the age range extended for younger kids. Chocolate Mousse cake was delicious. Definitely a place worth going for special occasions!

    Was a great experience. Great service and atmosphere. The food kept coming at a quick pace. The variety of food made it worth it...lamb, beef, chicken, pork, various steaks and much more. Will definitely go back again.
