The music is the best I’ve heard in any resto-bar, perfectly complementing the vibe and making the whole place feel alive. And oh, the drinks! Their cocktail menu is a masterpiece, but the star of the show for me is definitely their espresso martini—it’s pure perfection in a glass. Rich, smooth, and just the right kick of coffee to keep the night going. The staff here are the cherry on top; genuinely kind, attentive, and welcoming. It feels like you’re catching up with old friends while enjoying top-notch food and drinks. Best brunch meal in a long time in Ottawa. This was only the 2nd weekend that the Crate & Barrel was open and serving their weekend brunch, and it was superb. The server Madison was friendly (and very attentive helping us to make decisions with our food choices. There were four in our party - and we each ordered a different plate -- Canadian Benny, The Mushrooms & Spinach Benny, The Classic Breakfast, and The Avocado Sourdough Toast. All the meals were delivered to our table at the same time (kudos to the kitchen for achieving that feat). The servings were hearty (but not over-powering) and the presentation was excellent. The fruit was very fresh and the seasoned potatoes and onions were delicious and a nice change from the usual, tired brunch potatoes made from last night's dinner leftovers. All of the meals were fresh and very appetizing. All of the eggs were prepared exactly as ordered. The coffee was excellent and abundant. For an extra jolt of caffeine try the Greek Frappe beverage. Great service, very good food, large portions, quiet atmosphere, and very reasonable prices - our bill for four was $85. By Ottawa standards, this was an excellent outing. We dined at the Kanata location with free parking steps from the door.

The afternoon tea at VANITEA is a must to try. The service is A1 and the food is delicious and you really get enough that you can't even finish all the bites. I was there for my aunts 60th birthday. When I made the reservation, I asked for a little dessert saying “Happy birthday !” and a candle over one of the pastries, they went further and they gave us 4 more pastries on a little bird cage on which they wrote the message with piping gel. It was awesome.
