Given couple of Proseccos on the house and made to feel really special. Had couple of starters and then the signature flat iron steaks with accompaniments and it was cooked perfect and tasted amazing. I have over my many years eaten in various places for afternoon tea but I must confess at the GRAND HOTEL, York, is most definately the best. My compliments to the chefs who prepare the food (sandwiches, scones and cakes). You can taste every flavour.
